The way i look at these scenarios is that you will get a far more enjoyment out of this game than some random troll trying to get his 5 minute "buzz".

I just had a wonderful experience in the Titan HM fight. DF Queue popped, I entered as my BLM. Everyone got in and skipped the CS. One of the tank asks if anyone was new. The other tank apologized and said it was her first time. The Dick of a Tank called her a burden, that she was ging to get us all killed in there, and that it was going to be a waste of time. He then rushed in, pulled Titan, and half were dead before the second jump. Needless to say we wiped. When everything loaded up again, He yelled at the other tank and told her to save everyone the trouble and never use the DF to queue for her first time in something. He then stormed out and the party dissolved. Nice to know some people in the community are so helpful to people new to content :/

I wish the OP had taken a screen shot of the chat log and posted it along with the story. Then every time this douche popped into a duty, people would just give him the same treatment.

At its heart, it is cowardice. People that do douche-bag things over the internet would not dream of cutting in front of you in the grocery lane or probably even look you directly in the eye. Truth is they were probably picked on as kids (which in some cases means currently being beat up). So these cowards do shit things over the internet safely from behind their keyboard rather than grow up, get over their trauma, face life head-on and act like men (just men, no girls in mmos as you all know). Sad.

On topic, wow, just... wow. I wish I knew this bugger's name so that I could blacklist them. But it's a good thing that, as it's turning that I will be going Warrior instead of Dragoon first, that I will be tanking solely with friends and LS/FC-mates (though they are, essentially, friends too).

Actually, you don't really see this particular behavior in WoW. You encounter a lot of stupid people, no doubt about that, but it's not much different than you would find anywhere else.

Seriously, though, the tank the OP talks about and the one mentioned later in this thread make me very depressed. They're dipshit scumbuckets and I hate that they're only reinforcing an image that seems to be building more and more about us tanks. Not all of us are assholes, I promise.

I have been hearing more about bad or raging healers lately on my server. Some will even charge a fee before they will res a person, or at least they try and then whine about it in chat when they refuse.

My biggest problem is with other tanks. I haven't had (m)any complaints from heal/dps. "Stop fighting me for enmity!" (even when I'm not). In the Praetorium, the second tank is there in case the other one dies, it makes things boring. "I'm a Roegadyn, I have more HP than you, that makes me the main tank!" Ok, sorry but, didn't I just hold hate over you on that boss 95% of the time? I get the logic that hp> means they have a less chance of dying but...that doesn't make them a better tank by default nor does it entitle them to be the only one who gets to enjoy themself. I mention Praetorium because there's nothing to do as second tank. None of the bosses, even the 2 that have adds require 2 tanks.

It makes more sense from a survival POV to bounce hate between the 2. Sure, that makes positioning for dps difficult but I said "survival POV". 2 hp bars > 1. "Mages will have a hard time targetting then!" I doubt this but even so, there's 2 of them and they have to heal everyone anyway.
