I know not everyone is having this issue, but hundreds of people are. I have bought a new modem, opened 2 tickets with Brighthouse, had a technician out and run over 50 traceroutes. On tbone.rr.com (Brighthouse uses roadrunner servers) I get no higher than 25-30 MS scores, and more often see 15 MS scores. When I hit congentco.com which appears to be utilized by Ormuco, I get 151+ scores, when I hit SE's IP address for neolobby02.ffxiv.com, I get timeouts!
All signs point to Congentco.com / FFXIV servers as being the issue for my latency problem. I am at my wits end and I have no idea what to do, my connection scores are 15 MS, 46 MBPS Down, 2.20 MBPS up.
I called your technical support, and the guy told me to go out and buy the latest hardware from NVIDIA and (A new graphics card, top end) and that will address my ping time. When I told him that I run at 60 FPS at all times, even in endgame content, he told me then he doesn't know what to do and to run a DXDIAG, then after giving no further instructions he said "whatever it is, good luck, I have been on the phone too long and I have to go".
Seriously SE, this is abominable and I've been researching whatever laws I can use to make sure you pay me back for all the money I've spent on this.
ps. Yes this is the best MMORPG on the market, but I want to be able to play it, this is not another "I quit" thread.
