I installed that for the first time just last evening and it was fine, except for two errors thrown up by the launcher when it was trying to render the web content, but that was all.So tonight Spotflux decided to stop working, so long as it's running I get constant "unable to complete version check" from the launcher and can't get any webpages to load either. So looks like I'm back to being unable to play at peak times until BT pull their finger out. Unless anyone knows of a good alternative?
This is interesting, I have that too.
It's interesting because week before last I rang BT sales to ask to be 're-contracted' as others posting in this thread had done. After some checking into it the guy I spoke told me Infinity 2 isn't and has never been throttled, so even though my contract was from December last year he said I wasn't affected.
He was happy to re-contract (I didn't do that at the time) but saw no reason I'd see any difference.
I also have BT Infinity 2 and it was sold to me as unlimited; something I have had a few choice words with them over the phone about.
BT Infinity Option 2 is unlimited in the sense of how much data you can download and upload, however p2p traffic is still being shaped by BT. I also I have Infinity Option 2 and I'm also affected by throttling of FFXIV.
I don't know why but connecting through my VPN's UK servers also have throttling. I can only play without any lag/throttle is to connect my vpn's either Germany or US servers.
Just want to say it looks like it has all been sorted as I have logged on and I'm getting no lag any more.
You just have a pretty serious problem with gold sellers though.![]()
Indeed. It has been blissful this evening, kudos to SE and BT for resolving this, although I cannot kudos the time it took!![]()
I have some days were it dos not effect me but last night was really bad i couldnt even do my story. could it be if i use spot flux since the problem has been fixed then it could be causing the issue for me?
Hey guys, have you all tried to connect your computer directly to the bt homehub with cat 5 cable.
I did this and my connection issues with the game vanished, also my overall speeds got much better.
Hope this helps.
I will Google this, because you might as well be speaking French. XD
Also, having RCN I have been using a VPN, but! The last few days have been REALLY good. No VPN, no disconnects, and a happy me!
I mean plug your computer into your router (wifi box with flashing lights) with network cable. Your wifi like mine becomes slower at peak times because lots of people are using wifi and all that data is flying about and makes your wifi slower. Wifi is also affected by distance and walls and all sorts of other factors.
To put it simply if you want faster internet don't use wifi.
