No quest for chocobo riding?

Thank you very much for this link! Hopefully I come across this Grand Company quest at some point. I went back to Aleport and started questing there again to see if that put me back on track since that was where I got told to go after delivering the 2nd message (from being sent from my home nation to the other 2, names elude me atm for my embarrasement).

There is a special thread of quests, called "storyline quests". They are a separate catagory in your journal, and all its markers have a special grahpic (which was pointed out in the Active Help in the opening quest, but you might have skipped over that). This is where the Grand Company unlock, and almost all the other important stuff is, as well as being a single chain of quests that tells the main story (hence "storyline"). Check your Journal. If your Journal doesn't have an open storyline quest, look in completed quests for the last storyline quest you did; the next one on offer will be there, and will probably be offered by the person you closed the last storyline quest with. They are really the most important quests in the game, and should be your first priority in doing your quests. The Aleport quests should lead you fairly quickly to Satasha, your first dungeon. You're still a while away from Grand Company; you'll have two more dungeons after Satasha and you'll have to fight Ifrit (don't worry much; as long as you kill the Nail to nerf his Astral Flow, Ifrit at 20 is a joke).
