I would love to see some card PvP + PvE. :-) To collect rare cards from players was always my dream.

I think if you were able to kill an HNM you should at least have a 5% drop rate of their card. If it was a game breaker card, yes, lower, but since Triple Triad is mainly going to just be a supplementary addition to the game for fun, then 5% drop rate is a reasonable rate, I think.
Sorry guys, but I have to give a -1 to Triple Triad, but +1 to a more balanced card game.
Triple Triad was all about getting the BEST card after which you become absolutely unbeatable. No one would want to challenge anyone else because you have no idea what cards the other players have, and the person with the best cards almost always wins.
Tetra Master would be a better option because weaker players can actually stand a bit of chance in that game. Better yet, they need to come up with a game more similar to Magic or whatever card game that is most popular with the kids right now, where yes, there are rare and powerful cards, but with the right strategy a person with a weaker deck is still able to win.

I have a feeling that instead of adding Triple Triad they are going to add some stupid crap like this. Two airships pull up side by side and both fleets run to the side of the deck and bust out their Parley boards and start playing. The team with the most wins will win the event and gain some stupid prize, hahaha. Airship Parley PvP battles, *gag*.
Actually Proxx they could make players obtain a rank, hell if they wanted too they could give them their own class and you level up as you win and get better cards. Sounds kind of silly but it would work, that way you could check someones TT Level before you play them, also they would have rules where you could play for keeps for gil, for other items etc. Overall I think it would make an awesome system if they actually was willing to do it and work with it.

On topic, I had forgotten that card "stats" were so important with Triple Triad.
* The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
