This one did not suggest that it would not assist new players in learning the AK fights, it has on several occasions done so. This one is merely saying that carrying a 50 DPS with a level 41 weapon is impossible as Demon Wall and the last boss are DPS races. Why waste their time and yours? This one is always courteous and says why it leaves when it does.Get on with the program, newbie!
Nowadays making a whole group spend their gil, their time and make them unable to complete any sort of content they share with you is the good and moral thing to do whereas refusing such idea is the cancer that kills the game, did not you know?
Sigh, it is a sad day when the GM of a family/casual guild like me, has to defend the "hardcores" .....*facepalm*

I love how the "experts" here want people to read-up and be prepared spoiling the game.
How the hell did the first guy who entered a duty read-up about it? Had a call with Yoshi before starting the DF?
Please get down your high horse and play a damned game as it should be done.
The world isn't ending tomorrow, and neither is eorzea. Take your time and enjoy the game. Go by trial and error and draw the path by yourself if you can.

This one has banged its head against Titan Hard Mode a couple dozen times now, it understands there is a learning curve. That being said, the first thing this one did was hit the AH/GC Vendor and equip the best possible equipment for itself, it is not much to ask that other players do the same.I love how the "experts" here want people to read-up and be prepared spoiling the game.

I had to wait 1 hour yesterday for every run, the group was ready after 5 mins, but atleast i had more or less good runs.
But on the positive side i got my weaver higher.
If the que wasn't bad enough.
Peoples attitudes after finally getting in on this is even worse. And it doesn't stop at amdapor keep.
I do the "opposite" of the 2nd poster, if someone is being a complete jackass "even" though I know the dungeon perfectly, i will quit. I won't let someones elitist (yet funny these people usually fail the most) attitude ruin it for other people, nor myself by just sitting there watching people have to put up with it, just watching it happen is irritating. Funny thing, I used to be "that" guy, a long time ago. Now I find it disgusting. I'm the first one to argue with rude dicks like that too and tell the new players to watch their cs's and there's a first time for everything, gota learn somehow.
If i was expecting no new people i would role with my FC or at least be ready to show someone I know. Since I don't, I act appropriately if I do use the DF, as should every other jerk going into a DF random party.
I'm sure I'll just get that much more anti-elistist since my wife is completely new to MMO and about to start doing her DF mandatory runs.

Is this queue problem only happening on Legacy servers or a certain battle group? I play on Cactuar and have never experienced this problem. I been running Ifrits and AK all day too :/ Sorry to hear about the long queues for some people. (And I am referring to the pre-made queues.)
1) I am not the kind of player to scream at others even if they are unprepared, as i said before, i lead a family/casual guild, i am simply able to see the other side of the coin and why not everyone wants this.
2) Since when a game being new has anything to do with people using literally 15 seconds of their time to google the name of the dungeon to see if there´s anything they should know about it? Especially with those 1 hour queues everyone complains so much about.
Your argument would have made sense 10 years ago when there wasn´t a bazillion of sites and youtube videos explaining everything one week before it is actually released, but nowadays not being ready is the result of "not wanting to" and nothing more.
I would like to take this opportunity, to tell a story about this tank who was new to AK.
Me, my bro, and his gf are pretty well geared, the tank said it was his first time, I could sense his dread being in the presence of 3 geared individuals, relics, darklight, etc.
Being human, we did a normal run and explained boss mechanics, he understood them very well and we cleared it with only 2 wipes.
We thanked him for being awesome. I felt we made a difference that day.
That is how you deal with a new person. We all start somewhere, I mean I'm a BLM, the worse dps for AK, I admit to messing up a lot, but I got better.
I will agree though you should spam story dungeons for darklight , and primals for weapons before stepping foot in AK.
