I FINALLY GOT THROUGH!
In total it took 6 straight hours. I waited in the live chat AND on hold on the phone at the same time from 2pm EST until just now 9pm EST.
I had to leave the live chance once, to drive home from work, for half an hour, I stayed on the phone. Other than that it was constant.
Each time I used the chat, when I got to number 1 I got the following message:
Chat
Status: Canceled
There are no agents available to chat with you right now. Please try again later.
That was maddening. So I highly suggest calling. It sounds like they are no longer escalating tickets and instead fixing them as the calls come in, thus the HUGE wait.

When they fixed it for me, they just added a new game on my old account service. Now I have two FF XIV account services installed and both are working... I would give it to my friends if it keeps like that. But I wonder, can I access to both account services separatly...?
For those saying you need to talk with someone to get a key, not true. I never got through to support and I just got my key today.
Its been far longer than the 2 days the service ticket email said it would take. Am I really gonna have to sit in a tech support forum and hope this is resolved, or they getting anywhere near a sweeping resolution on this yet?
Greetings everyone,
Users that encountered this issue, and submitted a ticket to the Square Enix NA support center - we have dispatched emails to you that contain registration codes for you to activate them on the correct service account.

- Click the Add Windows Service button
- Enter your new registration code. Please note that a small window summarizing the selected service account will be displayed. Please make sure you have selected the proper service account.
- Follow the remaining prompts to finalize the registration process
PlayStation 3 Version
- Redeem the new Promotion Code on the PlayStation Network or via the PS3 Account Management
- Run FFXIV and log into your Square Enix Account
- Select "FFXIV: A Realm Reborn – PlayStation®3" product to be registered to your Square Enix Account
- Select the desired service account you wish to add your new promotion code to. Please note that a summary of the service account will be displayed. Please make sure you have selected the proper service account. Be sure not to select the button that says "Create New Service" account

The only reply from support I've received to date was one stating my first ticket had been closed because it was over 48 hours old and then this today:
"Dear Customer,
Regarding your request for account support. Please find your answer below.
It appears the issue you reported has been resolved. If you are still experiencing problems, please do not hesitate to reply to this ticket and we will gladly assist you further.
Thank you for contacting the SQUARE ENIX Support Center."
Checked my account and found nothing changed. I replied to the email as instructed but I'm still waiting for resolution.
My brother has this problem! We filled a ticket about this issue 8 days ago!! No one answered. You guys did not send him an email with a new code to activate!!
Once again, NO EMAIL RECEIVED. EIGHT DAYS WAIT, CORRECT TICKET FILLED WITH SUPPORT. NOTHING in junk/spam folder.

Sure SE Support is not really the best...far from it to be honest...but I don't get why people get so angry about SE trying to resolve this issue that is based on customers being "not intelligent" enough to get it right from the start.
Why do people have 2 service accounts? Surely not cause SE created them for those people.
Why do people register codes to the wrong one? Surely not cause SE said register this code to the wrong one.
If you don't know which account is the right one, or which one to register to, don't just blindly click whatever seems "reasonable" to you...think...and then do it.
SE definetely made their account registration and stuff not really "clear"...I understand that...but if you are not stupid, you are able to think before you act and not rant at SE cause you "accidentaly" made the mistake in the first place...
Nobody I know in the game, or my LS/FC encountered this problem cause guess what...they didn't just click things and hoped it is right...they actually read the explanation and did it right...
