    Come on now, don't be dissing Simian Thrash. A lot of people like it's animation, and it's one of the few unique WS in the game atm.

    Well, pugilists aren't monks...they don't know martial arts so they are supposed to use only the hands. IMO pugilists should be compared to boxers/pitfighters.

    I'm sure when monk pops as advanced job it will be kicking alot, even for a some more different animations than PGL. ^^

    kicks and martial arts moves is always a go, although pugilist means boxer. with monk being added in some way, there is no reason not to, and many reasons to

    I am sorry but the giant purple ball on the mob really makes that attack lame as hell not to mention on some mobs it makes it impossible to even see the attack! Plus, I think the punches that follow are slower than when you use Heavy/Flurry. I was so excited for the move and it was a let down. They could have taken any punching animation from any Anime and it would trump what we have now :/

    I wouldn't really use "Pugilist are more like boxers so they shouldnt kick" argument to try and keep things realistic imo. Archers shoot arrows but can also do crazy back flips while shooting arrows into the ground so that a festival of arrows come back out from the ground hitting everything near the Archer........Seriously?! Besides isn't Second Wind usually a Monk ability in other games? Since Monks have "Chi" and shit so they can Chi Blast and Heal?

    You're right HoneyBoy, they should just take all the Pugilist actions from Fist of the North Star. I mean Simian Thrash? Psh, why not HOKUTO HYAKURETSU KEN!?

    In all seriousness though, Simian Thrash was far from a let down for me. The large glowing ball does make it somewhat hard to see but at least it's different from every other Pugilist skill. It's a lot of fun to watch for me at least, it's a 9-hit combo that explodes at the end. What else do you really want? It's not the basic swing or punch animations that most use so I consider it a success. That being said things like Pounce definitely need special animations. Concussive Blow I could see staying as is, possible even Victimize.

    Pugilist = Boxer is actually a somewhat sound argument though. In the Pugilist's guild you can see boxing gloves hanging about and I believe there's a championship trophy there for a boxer.

    Umm I am all about it being changed into that. I like CBII animation, a lot. I understand its a sound argument but I mean than you can argue the validation of almost every aspect of the game So let me have Combo! Punch, Punch, Kick!

    same here, I say Yay for kicks.

    What kind of brawlers are we that does not know how to use his/her legs? As fighters, a few knee strikes or a good side kick or some whirle would be really good for Pugilists.

    Other wise, we look like plain boxers ... boo oooooo rririiiiiiiiiiiii nnnngggggggg!

    I dont see why anyone would not want more variety of attacks in thier fighting class, btw on the topic of pugilist

    first of all it means someone fighting with their fists, boxers are pugilists, but not all pugilists are boxers. (like a square is a rectangle, but not all rectangles are squares)In japanese they chose the name fist user, not boxer, or their equivalent.

    Monk will likely either be a title, or something that you are in addition to being a pugilist, not a different class, so dont worry too much about class uniquness, it is highly likely pugilist will either become monk, or pugilist will be a subset of the monk job.

    Back on topic, yes to kick attacks/kick mechanics.
