Not sure why, but the cmd isnt working for me, so I followed the guide and did everything it did. Lets hope for the best! This one: nvidiaInspector.exe -forcepstate:0,2
This however sets the speed lower than what it would be normally, but I'm not confident enough with this thing to start playing around with those numbers myself. It doesn't really affect me anyway because I do use fps cap to help keep my computer whisper quiet. Also you need to do that every time you start your computer. I forgot it once and panicked when I froze again little later, but then I remembered I did forget to use that command before starting, and up to this point I haven't froze otherwise a single time when I have used that.
Also receiving the stopped working error.
I know this is anecdotal at best, but I have a similar system to many of you having this problem (i5 2500k, gtx670, 16gb ram, win7 Ultimate) and I switched off the in-game frame limiter and haven't had any issues for the last few days. Shot in the dark, but it seems to be what was causing it for me.
Would you mind providing specific instructions where to go to turn this option off? I would like to test it.I know this is anecdotal at best, but I have a similar system to many of you having this problem (i5 2500k, gtx670, 16gb ram, win7 Ultimate) and I switched off the in-game frame limiter and haven't had any issues for the last few days. Thanks.

As dumb as this sounds, I defraged the game folder itself. I used to get BSOD 124 and 3B. I have been running the game non-stop for about 36 hours now with zero issues. If you run a defrag program other than the one built into windows it may have that option. I use Auslogics Disk Defrag Professional, although I think the free version may have that option as well, worth a try.
going to try this when i get back home. only new suggestion in the past 2 weeks...hopefully it will fix my problem as wellI know this is anecdotal at best, but I have a similar system to many of you having this problem (i5 2500k, gtx670, 16gb ram, win7 Ultimate) and I switched off the in-game frame limiter and haven't had any issues for the last few days. Firstly, I'd like to thank those of you who've posted possible solutions to this problem. I've been getting BSOD's and crashes/freezes since launch, and am nearly at my wits end trying to troubleshoot the issue (16+ hours into trying to fix this). Here's what I've tried so far, per suggestions on this thread:
1. Updated video drive, audio drive, Logitech drive, PhysX drive, and every other drive I could find
2. Set program to run as admin
3. Ran a mdsched command to check memory (RAM is fine)
4. Used msconfig to par down to the bare minimum of programs
5. Dropped NVIDIA video drive down to 320.49, then down to the 314.22 version
6. Set PhysX to run on CPU
7. Virus/malware scans
8. Disabling app overlays like Steam
My results: Every once in a while I'll have a good day, and play for 5+ hours with no problems. Most of the time, however, I cannot stay logged in for 5 min without a blue screen or a crash. I know it's not an overheating issue because my rig has a liquid cooling system and temp alarms, which have not been triggered. Researching driver sweeper programs have yielded iffy results--some people seem to swear by them, others claim they are completely unnecessary. I also haven't tried the most recent suggestions (switching off the in-game frame limiter and defragging the folder), so those will be my next attempts, followed by a driver sweep if that fails.
Just wanted to report what is/is not working for me, in case it helps direct someone else to the source of their woes. And believe me when I say that I share your frustrations...I play four other games, and only FFXIV seems to have this problem, despite the strong indication that it's an issue with the rig and not SE. All the other games are rather graphically-demanding, so I couldn't say why those programs are fine and FFXIV is not.
Unexpected error occured.Exiting...
Everytime I try to choose my chatacter..
As expected the latest beta drivers for GTX285 didn't help. Had some system crashes again today.
