History Repeating (quest)

Is there any trick for the last part of this quest. Its proving to be a nail in my side here. I can clear the trash mobs just fine until the last boss guy. Its not really him or the mobs but the bubbles.

Im dragoon so kiting doesn't really work all that well, considering it seems if a bubble explodes and I was near it at one point, it will hit me no matter how far I am from it.

It almost feels like one of those quests where im not doing something right. Ive seen a youtube video where a dragoon fights the duty but hes level 50 in endgame gear....and even then it gives him a bit of trouble. Not sure if I should wait on this quest or what. Im level 43.

So is there anything im missing here. Tried kiting the boss guy tossing javelins at him to avoid the bubbles but they some how always manage to hit me

as I was trying to do this at level of the quest I did this quest as SMN with Titan tanking the mobs/boss.

Doing the quest on SMN I had no issues and did the quest on my 1st try.

it might be worth trying the quest on LNC and not DRG as at least you have access to cure and second wind

I'd like to know how you used Titan to tank cos for me, in the main storyline quests, Titan does not hold aggro. The mobs just go straight for me. Maybe I am bugged I dunno.

I had no issues with this.
I don't know if its a bug or not but pet initial hate goes to you and not to the pet.

I normal send in titan first before attacking using the SIC command

I took a break from the quest after 3 deaths. Funny cos the next time I tried it I breezed through it even though I was playing like a lunatic. Of course it helps if you don't run around like a scared little girl straight through all the bubbles
