White Mage

Just want to make sure I am on the right path for my White Mage. What two classes make up the White Mage?

Just a bit OFT question - do you find the White Mage beneficial? I'm a bit dissapointed by the "special" traits of this job so far. The same goes for Bard ... I'm heading now towards Scholar, Summoner and Black mage and just hope that would be a bit better.

I can only speak from the prospective of a Paladin, but my healer of choice is a WM. When I leveled CONJ to 15 for my requirements for Paladin, I had a hard time with the class, but I am a tank by trade. So DOM is not exactly my area of expertise. Though I always learn the important skills for any healer in a game where tanking is part of the game. I like to know what does what so I can make suggestions if my healer is having troubles in a dungeon.

(I never tell a healer what to do unless they completely suck at it. By then though, the DPS has usually rage quit so it hardly matters)
