Reach level 50 then do dungeon runs and wear really high ilvl gear then come back here and tell me you still have money after 40 dungeon runs while repairing all your gear after each run for 3-8k a run.Stop teleporting everywhere, that helps. Get your Alagan pieces as quest rewards when and where you can and just be frugal. I havent even touched a crafting/gathering class yet and I'm only level 32 and I've accumulated over 100k. I like lower denominations like this rather than inflated prices like in 1.0 because gil was so easy to come by.
Gill sellers don't seem to have any problems making money. Just an observation.
Im sure after they have taken care of the post release issues they will look at the economy data and see what, if anything needs to be changed. There are leves and stuff people can do to make gil.
Also, people who have rushed into endgame and repair-heavy content and expect to do it non stop beyond the means of their gil creating efforts, should try to gain some perspective on the opportunity cost of such activities.

I know someone said get a job but really what if that is the answer. From what I am reading the biggest problem is there is not enough gil being injected into the end game so why not create jobs people can do. What I mean is lets say a miner. You could be paid by a city state to mine for x amount of time for them and then get paid x amount of gil for doing so. You can then have them for the other DoLs so that enough gil could be inserted into the game for repairs etc.
If they don't want to randomly create gil (can cause inflation) they could use the tax from the market to fund the jobs (so once the gil is used up that's it until more tax fills it up). You can also use the money from repairs from NPC and shops to then fund the jobs which would mean gil would not disappear from the game.
Took out picture because it was mean
You know those are all hacked accounts and stolen money right. Jesus Christ.

Making personal attacks based on an assumption over the title of a thread I made, a title I made in jest over a serious issue in the game I'm trying to enjoy. How very mature of you. If I had ideas on how to make gil I wouldn't be making this thread now would I? hmm? If you really have nothing to contribute to the issue other than a jab at my personal life that you know absolutely nothing about, then please don't bother posting.Calling out Yoshi in the thread title is a bit dramatic dont you think? Maybe instead of saying YOSHI FIX THE DANG GIL ISSUES THAT IS KILLING OUR PLAYERS Q_Q you could post something like 'Ideas for Helping the Economy of FF14' , or 'My thoughts on Gil'. I dunno, just putting it out there. Maybe whining like a 9 year old in wal mart is how you handle things in IRL, but in the real world people who present ideas professionally, or at least intelligently, typically get a better result. Best of luck though.
FATES do not generate gil due to repairs. crafting does not as there's dungeon gear easily obtainable. playing the AH does not generate gil, it just passes it around while removing a hefty chunk of it. selling mats does not generate gil because everything gets undercut to the point of obscurity, and still, thats just passing gil around (see above line) Do you know what you're even talking about? You really don't. There are plenty of ways to understand what the issue is, you just dont want to take the time to. See what I did there?

Just saying so you know, doing a Leve at 50 only gives positive gil if you do it naked. Otherwise the repair outweighs the amount you make.

You could always make new characters for the allgan pieces, someone said its about 250k npc Gil right there comming into the economy, but that's if you can get ur character created on a server that's locked like mine
"A wounded man says to his assailant "if I live I will kill you if I die you are forgiven" thus is the rule of honor" - Omertá
Making the game print more money does not help with the economy. Repair fees are high for end game EQ making players broke as most players are rushing to complete it. Slow down don't rush the content dry and your gils won't go dry as well.
If you want to do nothing but run dungeons and make bank, tough. There are plenty of ways to make money, you just don't want to take the time to do any of them.
