So does that somehow magically cancel out the part where you said there'd be tons more gilsellers without said deterrent? Did you say that and immediately contradict yourself?

I don't think you did. So I'm responding to that assertion by saying I don't think it's as much of a deterrent as you think it is. We get annoyed about little things like that because they eat into the time we have to play this game, which we do for fun. The gilsellers probably couldn't care less because they don't DO this for fun. It's their job. It's not supposed to be fun. They'll gladly sit through the intro a hundred times, it doesn't really affect them.

So maybe you could actually answer my question. Why do we have to be inconvenienced by anything just because it marginally inconveniences gilsellers as well?

Edit: I'm sorry for the hostile attitude, by the way, but I'm really bothered by this attitude that "anything that inconveniences gilsellers is ok because it inconveniences gilsellers." You could justify pretty much anything with that. "Well, the servers are locking people out with 1017 twelve hours a day but let's not fix that 'cause it's keeping the gilsellers out too!" I already feel like the mail restrictions cross a line in that regard.

While doing some fates the other night, I found myself wishing for a filter that would allow targeting only players with less than some percentage of their health remaining.

There were probably 20 to 30 people all clumped together, and maybe 3 taking real damage, and trying to select one of the latter required hitting the d-pad many times; the worst is when they start running because they think they aren't going to get healed, and then it's basically impossible to target them.

I'd like to see the following points:
    1) Possibility to save different HUD combinations. For example one for dungeons, other for normal leveling. May include possibility to put the big map permanently in the HUD as an element.
    2) The option to disable that Turn left/right + Right Mouse Button = Strafe Left/Right
    3) A special icon when you are about to accept a quest that your current character cannot hand in levelwise.
    4) Be able to blacklist someone by right-clicking him in the chat.
    5) Being able to link items/locations in the chat.
    6) Ability to see the FATE progress on the big map.

    Suggestion from a friend:
    1) Possibility to add Hunting Log Quests to the regular quest tracker.

I would just like to reiterate request for the ability on the PS3 in particular to easily report GIL sellers. I just created a new character in Uldah on Fairie and it was horrible. From the moment I joined, till the moment I quit about 25 minutes later the chat log was non-stop gil rmt spam. It went by so fast and constantly (and under multiple names) there was no way on the PS3 to catch the names of the offending players either, much less try and copy them. Moreover the last time I did try and report one of them, the report form didn't even let me type. Even if we had right click to report, right now it would be very hard to catch the name because it is happening so fast.

I propose 3 things to help with this:
    1) A quick way to pause the log built into the chat up arrow used to navigate (i.e. if you start navigating, stop auto-scrolling until exiting of the chat box)
    2) right click/square click to report which prompts with a form autofilled out and a check box that must be checked before submitting (are you sure you wish to report).
    3) Improved keyboard interfacing.

I have noticed for many forms on the PS3 it never pulls up the onscreen keyboard, making it very hard to navigate if you are using the controller. I have a keyboard. but having to suddenly stop and switch to mouse and keyboard just to report a spammer is not a very good interface, and honestly leads me to simply ignore it and leave.. I bring it up because it is in my experience much harder on the PS3 than the PC to actually do something about this.

With this probably being said before in this thread, I want to add my vote in on one suggestion:

PLEASE let us blacklist someone by right-clicking their name. The gold spammers in this game have so much freedom to spam with hardly any break in-between their shouts/yells/tells. It is such a bother to have so many gold selling spammers and yet we must open a menu and type in their names manually. These names are sometimes things like "Gfshbkre Filnhwaln" and that is a very irritating name to have to manually type in.

Please let us blacklist people by right clicking their name.

In addition, maybe we could also incorporate some sort of shout timer. Nothing horrendous, but maybe 5 seconds apart at the very least? The goldspammers hit so hard and fast that sometimes I lose a great deal of information in the process and have to scour the wall of "buy gil, sucky sucky" text just to find what someone real said.

I just wanted to reiterate the need for a vote to kick option to remove someone from the party. I've had quite a few dungeon runs be ruined because one person would get upset and AFK, disconnect, or is just really terrible.

Another thing about the dungeon finder that would be wonderful is the ability to requeue for the same dungeon with the same people. I've had a few really great parties where we wanted to keep farming the same dungeon or primal fight for extra points and gear, but we had to say goodbye once we were done. If it would be possible to queue for other dungeons with the same people as well, that would be even better!

I don't know if this is already in the game or not, but the ability to lock my UI in place so windows can't be accidently moved around would be nice. I do this a lot while trying to close something.

In addition to this, a right-click->Report Spam option would be ideal.

Edit: Out of posts for today so I'm adding these here.

Two more things I just thought of, don't know if they've been mentioned yet.

    1) The linkshell window has a "Move online players to top of list" setting, but this setting does not save, which makes it completely pointless. I don't know if this is intentional or a bug but either way it needs to change.

    2) When you use a / command to change chat channels (like /l or /p or /sh, or sending a particular person a /tell) make the chat stay in that channel instead of going back to what it was.

I would like a way to NOT target peoples summon pets. If there is a way now I am not aware of it. I have played with the targeting tools but it seems to make me not target much of anything if I turn them off, including mobs. I would like to keep my targeting the way it is just NOT target peoples summoned pets.
