Shout chat is no longer ours

More and more people are just removing /shout from their tabs, the gil sellers are really starting to get out of hand, they're multiplying very quickly and something really needs to be done about it asap or it's going to become the worst thing about this game.

Some solutions are:

1. Add crysta as an in game item you can sell on the market.
2. Restrict /shout and /tell to level 15+ only.
3. Add a flag so when a character is put on the blacklist of a set amount of people (let's say 100 people), they automatically lose /shout and /yell until they contact support to clear it up.

I know none of these are ideal solutions, but the gil spammers are getting progressively worse and something needs to be done about it very soon.

1. Crysta is used for SE's store not just their games, that would be horrible in the long run.
2. It doesn't take long to hit 15, especially in a quest gind leveling progression, it just hurts newer players in the long run.
3. People can conspire to get certain people server blacklisted they simply just hated, standard FCs are 40-110 members currently.

They're bypassing it by doing: www,urlhere,domainhere - they don't actually use an actual url, what if a FC uses a url with similar words? You just blacklisted a legitimate url simply because it used a common MMO phrase. As easy as it may seem, SE's only action is to ban them as fast as they can.

1. No, that's a horrible idea.

2. A lot of games do this but it also makes it more difficult for new players who are asking for help. Plus they still whisper people to sell gil.

bots will easily get to whatever level requirement they need, will exploit crysta if nessacary, and have already regularly created new characters to avoid the blacklisting ._.
they are now spamming me in /tells even when i am in an Inn room for 20+ minutes to fetch a pot noodle where they cant possibly have picked up my name. something about the game is unsecure and thats what SE needs to tackle to get rid of these gil spammers/bots.

Personally, I'd just prefer if blacklisting one character blacklists the whole account along with it, including any characters created on that account after the fact. At least then in order for them to keep it up, they have to pay SE for new copies of the game, and since digital sales are currently halted, it would be especially effective until that restriction is lifted. (At least SE would make a revenue off of them)

1. Then do the exact same thing Eve did, implement an item you can buy with Crysta or whatever that gives whoever uses it 30 days gametime on the account (PLEX) and allow it to be sold on the market. We already have people buying gil (obviously since the gil spammers are still around) so why not just give them a legal way of doing it that would stop the spammers.

3. Anything can be abused, but let's be honest here, what's at stake here, temp removal of shout and yell, omg the horror! I really doubt it'll be as exploited as you think.

Hire GM's. Give them a chat log that brings up keywords for them to evaluate.

Ban shouts until lvl 10 is a good idea, not sure about tell, maybe a bit harsh on new players wanting to link up with friends, maybe prevent people from whispering others below lvl 10 who arent on friend list? would be better, so friends can just add eachother and whisper etc, but over lvl 10 its still same as is now(whisper any1)
