    Right. That's what I did when I got the link from someone else back on page ~260 or something around there.

    I wish you luck, it took me ~7 days. Again, pretty sure it's NA only.

    I don't want to just abandon this ship just because my account is fixed, in my experience of dealing with this problem these are my findings:

    To access chat for your correct region, correct issue etc, etc;
    Don't try access via FFXI, or via a different bug report.
    Don't bother with links posted on this thread.
    Make absolutely sure you're queuing in the correct region.
    Make sure you're doing this on a basic, non popup blocking browser (I used IE8), but this is more paranoia then anything perhaps.


    From start to finish:

    Fill out the form especially for this issue and you'll be given a ticket.>>
    you will at some stage get an email saying "we'll respond in 48 hours" this is probably not likely, and this email doesn't really mean anything.

    This ticket will either get deleted for some reason, (I imagine I understand the logic of why, but it would take a long time to write out)
    or it will immediately get the issue solved and the email response will read as such,
    or you will get a response suggesting you try chat.


    If you get a response suggesting chat, and giving a link to chat, then this is a guaranteed, bullet-proof way to access chat.

    Make sure you do the following while the chat support is open in your reason (follows business hours)


    Fill in the form at the end of the link. You'll be given a new ticket, click next to skip the obligatory "maybe these stupid links are what you're looking for" until you can open the chat function>>


    If you get to number 1 in the queue and you get through to an agent, quickly an efficiently follow their instruction, they'll probably give you a new registration code after a short wait.
    during the wait I also gave the agent all my ticket numbers for him to delete to help clean out the "noise" I had created just trying to get chat to work, so other users arent waiting on staff processing through my now defunct tickets for an already solved tickets.


    If you get booted/cancelled from the chat upon reaching 1 in the queue, exit out, and using the original email response to the first ticket suggesting you try chat, do the same thing again, fill out the small form, get the new ticket and queue again.

    The first time I got to chat I was queued for 90~100 places, and after 3 hours, I got to one and was booted.

    The second time, I was 4 in the queue and after about 25 minutes I had an agent, and he gave me a new registration code.
    My account is now fixed.

    they fixed it for me. i completed form on the 30th called around 9 am on the 5th got escalated, called again on the 6th was on hold for 3 hours then i was given a new code. get escalated then call again they will give you a new code. ps3 NA

    Something else to make sure you do if you get an agent to fix your problem: Make sure they fixed it and not made it worse! This happened to me. Agent said he fixed it, but in actuality, he made it worse by giving service account 2 time and putting service account 1 on the track to deletion. While you have them in chat, don't let them go before you get a chance to see the fix they did!

    Although I've never gotten through to chat support or phone calls, but I did post some tickets. Now all my bonus are correctly registered to one service account, though my subscription time is separate still. Anyone else had the same issue and had to undergo further help?

    Well I got my account sorted eventually too.

    Initial ticket - 27/08
    2nd ticket (using the new form they created for this issue) - 30/08
    Live Chat succesful (using the link posted in this thread with the 5/3 ending)- 01/09 (told escalated)
    Resubmit ticket - 03/09 (still not resolved and previous ticets all cancelled)
    Live Chat successul (using the link provided in this thread ending 5/2)- 05/09 (told escalated again)
    RESOLVED - 06/09 NINE DAYS LATER.

    However, the "Free extra 7 days" has been applied to my 2nd account, but not the 1st as this was "Inactive" at the time SE added the free time.
    So technically I have not been compensated for the server issues because I got screwed by the registration issue.

    SE got lucky. I checked the Mogstation "one last time" before I confirmed my refund request with GMG, and found my account fixed.

    I truly wish you all the absolute best of luck with this (and all the other) issue.

    This is the EU chat. I know because I just went there and Agent Karen just told me it was and couldn't help me. The one with 44124 in the URL is the NA chat, the other is EU.

    Which is so sad because I was connected to EU in a snap haha.

    EDIT: Interesting development by the way. Through desperation I changed the last number in the URL to various things like 1 or 2. Seems the 44124 or 38027 might not have anything to do with it, but I know for a fact that on both URLs, channel 2 is an EU chat. I got in both times and turned away both times.

    I haven't tried any of the chat/ phonecall methods yet, but got an email today saying they fixed my problem, excitedly I went to log in and found that absolutely nothing about my situation changed at all. They didn't do ANYTHING to fix my account. And I've been waiting nearly 2 weeks now for a response. Guess I'll start waiting in the chat queue, but this has got to be one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had.
