The ability to duty finder 8 mans

Simple. If you don't want to 8 man in the duty finder, don't. You're not so important that you can ruin my fun.

Why don't people read anything past the thread title?

It isn't as simple as "just don't use it if you don't want to", because 99% of the population is using it. This makes it harder to find people in the world to do it with, no one trying to form server groups, no one shouting, no one forming FC's/linkshells.

It's fine now though, I made my own server-only FC and we did ifrit over 20 times last night and got almost everyone weapons, but it took a lot of hard work just to find these people and make a working FC because the majority of players will just use duty finder, roll the dice, and pray, meaning the pool of players for people looking for competent server-only groups is incredibly small.

Duty finder being able to queue for 8 mans makes it harder to make server only groups, you can't just say "Dont use it" that is not a viable option when 99% of the population uses it.

It makes it so much harder to form a static, make a FC, and find people on your server because of the easability to just be able to queue and alt tab.

Extremely Hard content make for organized FC's that require strategy/teamwork/certain class set up/gear should not be eligible for duty finder, it's as simple as that.

EDIT: Remember it has been stated multiple times that there will be content that you can not or should not be able to complete with the duty finder, doesn't mean it won't be available in the duty finder.

If it's not designed for it, it shouldn't be an option. You should not be able to queue for it at all. Simple as that. MMO players will always take the path of least resistant, which makes it harder to make actual groups for it when there's an easier, much worse, but much more simpler route.

Can i not still play with "RANDOM" players if i get to choose what jobs i want? or does that mean, it only groups people i all ready know. I retract what i said, i had no idea..

The duty finder is designed first and foremost as a fast matching service that fills roles for you, letting one player dictate what jobs defeats this purpose. If you want to go with a certain setup, take some people from your FC, friends or shout for it.

You need four people who can deal damage, two people that can take damage and two that can undo damage? Here, have four people that can deal damage, two that can take damage and two to undo damage. Done.

Also bollocks to Ifrit needing a PLD to stun and caster to LB, all melees have a stun, organise them into a stun order and have either a melee LB a nail or tank LB Inferno.
