Scammed means for example you went to ebay, bought a 50" screen top end tv, but when delivery arrives you get a poster of said tv and you paid 1100$ for it.
Buying a product hardcopy and getting your hardcopy of said product is not a scam. Also if youat least know where forums are and seen lodestone you would of been informed that its a known issue they are working on.

This is a pretty dumb statement - almost everyone plays an mmo to play with their RL friends. That's asinine and retarded that somebody would say "ah forget about it make some new friends"

Actually for many people that probably is the case. For many of us, it's playing with a particular group of people that's the main consideration, the particular game we're playing is a secondary issue - I know in my case I have quit other games because the people I was playing with have quit, only for us to meet up again later on in another MMO. And if we can't play a particular MMO together, we'll just wait for the next one.

Ever notice how things change? The change come slow. Just look, now games popping up left and right not finished yet you can BUY it and play as they develop it. Just read this MMO and others even in this thread people already have the mind set that an UNFINISHED product is ok. A bad launch is now the norm. Look how many dont care about their money. They dont expect anything for it.

You give them your money and take anything they give.. its ok because from EQ, DOC, WOW and so on they KNOW people will PAY anyway if the launch is bad. Just give them a few days or a prize and WOOT OMG BEST MMO EVER! Yet for other things in our life we EXPECT that product to be finished. This is by far one of the worst for me in the way of customer service.

You want to kiss up thats up to you. This is not there 1st time at this. Others have come and gone had good and bad experiences and here we are in 2013..do you know when the 1st mmo came out and its STILL ok to NOT be ready? Hey..if no one says anything..why change they PAY anyway.

Its a great game I feel sorry for those that have problems and come here and no SE to help. Help people read between the lines..they are upset they will say things not nice so let that go and help or dont post.

As for servers? The guy was talking unless I got it wrong ..his friends are on a server that is now LOCKED..NO ONE wants to start on another server where your friends are not there. Has nothing to do with "if they quit you gonna quit too?".. most likely yeah.. that was the reason you joined ..duh.

Last ..this is one very easy game. They made it way to easy to level. Its not hard.. fighting is a blast just to easy. Finial Fantasy has now changed way to much. They gave in to all the voices that wanted a easier game. You got it!

If you aren't willing to sit through the growing pains of an MMO, this includes, bugs, errors, log in issues, anything that's not a "smooth" game play, then either you can do 2 things.

1. Don't play MMO's on launches until 2-3 months after.

2. Begin playing in beta phases understanding what exactly to expect before "launch day".

Expecting bugs here and there is all good. Not being able to create a character on worlds where your friends can play just fine is unheard of as far as I know. That is NOT something that people should be okay with just because the game recently launched. I love this game, but all these white knights are really starting to annoy me. My boyfriend is still, nearly two weeks since launch, unable to create a character on the world I'm on, simply because he choose not to play during beta 4. That is NOT acceptable anymore.

People acting like 7 servers are open and the other 20 are closed, I understand you want to play with your existing friends but you can't choose a different server and get some new online friends after all it is a MMO that you play with others just not your friends.

Okay, curiosity has me now. 1. Did the friends play during beta? in which case you lose for being the last guy to the party. or 2. Were you just the last guy to the party and everyone else was there on time? it's not a scam that you were too slow to make a character on a given server. A server isn't an infinite space that just goes on and on and on. Hate to break it to ya, but there is a limit to how many people can be on a given server (Not even considering the amount of concurrent connections to said server). So, you have two options at the end. 1. Convince all of them to go to an open server and play together there. 2. don't play, 15 of your friends won't miss you in the long run, and we have one less idiot we have to put up with. /endrant
