In case people get confused, I was talking about Square Enix giving the ISP a call.

The problem is that RCN isn't the only Internet Provider having problems with SE's game. You can check the link above that should serve as a great example of how many there are (I stopped counting at 25 ISPs).

I Realize that, But are you telling me that it's that hard for a couple of people to get on the phones and make these phone calls to the ISP's? I make hundreds of phone calls a day at work.http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...P2P-throttling

I know people with the same ISP than me who can run the game just fine and others with the same ISP that are experiencing the same problem. If it was an ISP problem, everybody should have been affected. I think it's not the ISPs problem but it is more of a Data Center problem. So many providers having the same problem with the game is a bit odd... there must be something wrong in the data center causing those problems.
You could get all technical into trying to explain how the ISP is having problem with the game but I won't change my mind. 2-3 providers having problems with it, it could be an ISP problem but 25+ providers? You can't expect me to believe that the ISPs are the problem.
I hope they aren't reading them and focussing on solving the problem. It took 4 days to acknowledge the problem and gathering information, they should have everything they need. This weekend will surely be unplayable because when there is more people, the lag gets more intense and causes more disconnections.
Don't get me wrong, I am also frustrated to be unable to progress but they are working on a solution and I don't expect them to make a "follow-up" message until they arrive with a solution (it is their usual way of doing things).

Whatever it is, it has a lot of current and potential subscribers thinking twice about playing this game. It's hard not to get frustrated at the lack of communication from their end, I mean is anyone even reading these threads?I know people with the same ISP than me who can run the game just fine and others with the same ISP that are experiencing the same problem. Why would they do that? Square Enix knows it is on their end. A monkey would know that from all the data posted. It's the fact that we know they are ignoring us that is pissing everyone off. The ISPs are all consulting with SE's crappy outsourced connection provider, and I even provided proof that RCN in particular has a ticket open for the issue to be resolved, though they can do nothing themselves as it is not their equipment (ORMUCO = P.O.S.).
So where do we go from here? How hard is it for SE to actually resolve this issue? Why would they do that? Square Enix knows it is on their end. A monkey would know that from all the data posted.
