Relic Reborn (Veil of Wiyu) - NPC Gerolt Not Accepting Item

Is there any way to fix this ? apart from spending another fortune on the book and mats? I sent a ticket hoping on them to fix it and send me the correct book or fix the quest i dont know what else to do, any help will be appreciated!


I just sent in a report and a ticket about this i have the same problem What i get for following the journal 100% trusting the game lol...
Quest bugs giving me mixed instructions, i trust it thinking "Well the game is asking me for them..." Waiting on them to reply the ticket..
When i went to turn in the base item the quest was red still , the npc was asking me for the SCH book with SMN materia (as seen on the pictures). I started the quest as SMN , did everything as SMN but aparently the quest got glitched and asked for mixed items... :\ This sucks...

I have the exact same problem as everyone else here. It's rather upsetting.

I spent 80000 gil on the book, 20000 per materia, and I tipped 10000 to Sir Forest for the melding services, only to find out that the quest itself was flawed. I now have virtually no money and with the way making gil ingame works now, no efficient means save hours upon hours upon hours of trying to scrounge up enough gil to spend ANOTHER fortune on my relic base and materia. That's incredibly frustrating.

I've already submitted both an ingame and email ticket regarding the matter, but I'm still out everything I've made from the start of the game to now because of this bug and now my progress through the relic quest is dead-ended.

Is there anyway I can get the gil refunded?

Same thing happened to me. I sent out a ticket ingame and via email, but no response from a GM in game or in mail. I'am totally confuse now as to what the npc wants and i don't want to have the same mistake which cost me alot of gils and time. We need to petition this problem so the devs can see it and actually do something about it. But from what you guys are saying, SMN needs erudite's of casting with 2 Quicktongue III? someone posted that the npc still not confirming it, can anyone confirm this?

Wow... this is so messed up dont worry im on the same page , i spent all my savings to buy the materials savings from lvl 1 to 50 , just for a quest to be broken... if any SE representative can help us with this, it would be cool.

That makes two of us,please everyone that went thru the same issue , report it and spam it.... they need to fix it and help those of us that got affected.

They replied and closed my ticket :\ just like it was nothing "post it on the forums" like that will fix anything , they do not understand the fact that we can't progress with our relic weapon, since the quest recognizes us as Scholars not summoners , and ask for both Scholar items and Summoner items. We followed it to the letter and ended up being broke :\ they should at least send us either the correct items or give back the gil spent.

And fix the quest or at least post a reply saying they are working on it..

Just wanted to give you guys an update... i was able to get my hands on a book of casting (the correct one) and melded it and it accepted it and opened up the quest for me. If you are lucky enough to have the chance like i did do it it works... i took a gable and it worked.

But still SE needs to fix this ...

They did the same thing to me dont worry , i sent them like 5 tickets and they closed each one sending me to this forum which we get no official reply or assistance.
