    I'm the main tank. That solves a lot of problems relating to the pace of the dungeon

    Option #2: Join a guild or get friends that want to go at your pace. What exactly do you expect Square to do about speed runs? I guess they could get rid of incentives to clear dungeons more quickly, but I feel like that would tick off a lot of people too.

    No it doesn't, and it never has in any dungeon finder. If you don't pull fast enough, people scream at you to gogo. If you still don't, they pull for you. If you drop, they might die, or live, but you're gone and they can get a new tank that will play to their style.

    In these dungeons, if you don't pull like they expect, they leave. More join, and if they also don't like your style, they leave. Some leave mid-pull just to spite you.

    That's how veteran communities regard this.

    SE original intention of DF is to allow casual player to participate in group contents. If you are in a hurry group with your FC. I personally don't mind people watching cut scenes in dungeon and this is what the game suppose to be.

    SE has already stated that they want to discourage speed runs. They even adjusted Haukke Manner during the beta test because the trash mobs were leashing ensuring 3-5 minute completions.

    I'm a legacy with serveral 50's. I'm part of the "natives", and I've never agreed with the concept of speed running dungeons unless they are designed to be played that way, like they were in 1.0.

    The problem is that, to an extent, the way of the current speed running could be considered an exploit, and exploits are banneable offenses, as it's not using the intended mechanics to progress through the instance. I'm sure it's an oversight on part of SE, but I'd be really disappointed if it isn't and they leave it as is.

    If the instance were designed with speed running in mid, it would have rewards for doing it fast, but it doesn't, so it's not being played as it was intended to.

    I have noticed the higher I am getting in levels the worse the community is getting . I really enjoyed dungeons back when I was lower and now they are weird. I don't understand what happened to all the cool guys I played with, has it changed since launch?
    I prefer to learn in the dungeon myself and I like getting better and being a better WHM but a lot of higher level dungeons have been really unpleasant lately .

    Honestly, This game is amazing right now.

    I have not had the urge to race home from work so I could get home and play a video game since WoW Vanilla.

    I don't think it should go the full gambit of WoW but I DO think they should take a lot of "Quality of Life" aspects from the game.

    Another Legacy here, I completely agree with you. If the mechanics are in place to purposefully encourage speed runs, such as extra chest pops, then I'm fine with it. The problem is the current dungeons are not really designed for speed runs. There are no additional mechanics that require a speed run.
