The problem is that Tanaka advertised guildleves as one of the MAIN features of XIV's gameplay. And as it turns out it's really just a bunch of barebones, repetitive kill x amount of mobs quests with zero story elements or challenge.Agree. Leves are simply a small dose of grind substitute every 36 hours, you could even call it an exp bonus system. The real problem is, the lack of any real content makes us think that leves were meant to be fun, challenging or interesting.
In time, when real stuff to do gets released we won't care that leves are boring and repetitive, we'll simply do them when we need the SP and go have fun in a dungeon/whatever else.
Aye. Hard to convince everyone who bought the game to just drop expectations on Tanaka's failure, and wait some more months.

I agree with this 100%. It's caused destruction to the game on top of shooting people up the ranks ridiculously fast.

Play the game then comment.
Racist :P

Raise the levels of the monsters so all are equal. Right now you have three to four leves with starting rank of 45 and then the rest with rank 40 (Rank 40 leves) which is why DFD gives so much more SP. Increase the number of optional monsters for the leves to ensure all leves give a good amount of SP. And please lower the number of necessary leve links to increase SP. Normalize SP so that it is like "maximum" link if at least two links would be perfect. Increase the gil total from rank 40 leves... Gil sellers don't farm rank 40s, they farm rank 10s because it is the SAME gil as some of the rank 40s... How silly is that!

I would like guild leves to last longer and be more challenging. All content in this game seems to be designed to be over in minutes and to be extremely easy. I would like to see that change. New leves with more exciting enemies would be great to.
Actually I exaggerated with the count, I've only done this leve 5 times and it was boring the first time I did it and I'm only rank 24, go figure. Doesn't matter to me that the quest is repeatable and it'll get boring, sure that's a given, but make the quest actually take half an hour but maybe make us go through waves of mobs OR maybe one or two tough mobs to take down...not make it consist of senseless running around for nothing only to take a minute to down the mob and port back to camp. You're never going to make content remain fun that is intended to be done every 36 hours. Everything gets old and boring when you're doing it for the 200th time. I bet you're one of those who only does Broken Water and Halatali leves. If you want to keep things fresh why not try the other areas? Sure less SP than Broken Water but it's all about fun for you right?
EDIT: and for the record, I don't give a crap about SP, so I don't and have never failed a leve on purpose just to get it again on the next reset because I don't care nearly enough to find out which leves max out my SP...meaning I get as big a variety as leves as the game offers and that's not much at all.

I enjoy leves. The ones I don't enjoy, I don't do.
Edit:
I could stand for more variety, though, so the ones I don't like don't taunt me regularly. I mean we've been doing the same leves (basically) since September. That's 8 months for anyone not counting. I could use about double the amount of available leves.
I could also use leves that all give roughly the same amount of SP so there's no need to fail the good ones to hold on to them. They'd all be "good ones."
