280k concurrent logins. the total number of registered users is a tad bigger and it's growing. How about actually providing servers that can handle players playing the game? They already had a 10 hour maintenance and added 3 (I believe it was 3) servers while fixing a good amount of the log in problem. I have been patient with all the 1017 90000 and other errors but to continue to disable digital sales is getting ridiculous if it lasts another week or so. I know MMO launches have their problems but halting sales of the game is embarrassing for SE.
The goal of an MMO company should be to hold onto current players and gain new players. Hard to gain new players when you halt one of the main ways to buy the game... The launch with all the log in issues was bad enough for a majority of players. Adding halting sales is just making things worse by the day. Having 280,000 players or whatever it is right now is nice but it is a very small number compared to plenty of other MMO's that have come out in recent years. It isn't out of the question to expect them to be able to handle the server load of current and new players entering the game when the number isn't even close to 1 million...
