You do realize that this is basically a copy and paste repeat of the "announcement" from last week about tuesday's maintenance right? You realize that we have ALREADY BEEN THROUGH THIS BEFORE - this week. This is almost word for word what was said before. And guess what, at the beginning of next week when they do another 10 hour maintenance there will STILL be problems and people will STILL be unable to create characters. This will repeat the cycle for the third week in a row. Not to mention you can play. I can play. We already have our toons created. Your position would be COMPLETELY REVERSED if YOU were the one unable to create a god damn toon for two weeks in a row. These people are unable to get on here and bitch about ti because they cannot create their characters. Quit fanboying it up broski - I love the game just as much as everyone else which is why it makes it so frustrating to see my friends dropping like flies since they can't get in weeks down the road. It isn't an unreasonable request after all. The only thing unreasonable in this thread have been the likes of you saying we should just deal with it. Yeah why dont YOU try dealing with it?

You can be angry here, sure, but it's really not going to do you a bit of good. I also never once said "deal with it", so I'm really not sure who you're talking to here, but it seems clear to me from your response that you're just looking to have a fit about this until it gets fixed when I was legitimately trying to hold your hand and show you the answers you were asking for.

PS. I actually WASN'T able to create a character, just like you, and I never once stated what my view on the entire matter is - I was simply showing you the answers to your questions. But good on you for assuming.

I have seen SE respond to posts on the tech support forum and truly that is what the goal is. It will stay bumped because enough people are pissed about it (I get to play but I am upset because my friends sit there hitting refresh all the time). If even there is a slight chance that they would comment on here (it has happened) then this thread will stay bumped. This is a tech support forum after all and this is a technical issue.

No I get what you're saying. But I can make the assumption that you did create a character and have been able to play since you are posting on a lvl 30 arcanist. Which means you have been able to play. The ones I am posting for have been unable to do even that. Granted they COULD go create a fakey character on a diff server just to play the game but who wants to waste their time?

The question has not been answered. What they stated is they are going to be doing what they did last week again. They never said "everyone who is unable to create a character will be able to on tuesday" or anything remotely close to that. That is what people want, and that is what people need. They don't need a "yeah we upgraded our stuff last week and let a few more people in but sorry if you still cant play we're gonna do round 2 a week from now again, and maybe get a few more people in and we will keep repeating this until everyone is in or everyone has gotten fed up and left." Thats their message, obviously.

I'm siding with pctech86 here. He is right in the fact that the recent announcement was basically the same thing as the announcement following the Tues/Wed. maintenance, which didn't alleviate the problem. The one thing that I see helping is next week when they implement an AFK kick timer, but at that point, it will have been 1-3 weeks for some people already. Even then, SE has been putting character creation restrictions in place manually, so does improved servers mean anything for character creation on the more populated ones? Not necessarily.

Also, I have to agree with his point of view of bumping this until a specific response about character creation is given. Right now I'm stuck between wasting my time at all hours of the day trying to make a character to even play the game vs. wondering if I should waste my time at all.

At this point, I also still do not have the 7 additional days applied to my account yet and no word if they're going to address that, so that's another thing that's depressing about sitting around and watching my initial month expire without playing.

Which still had a world pass system to bypass that issue. And, for that matter, the world pass system would might have evened out the server population on here in the first place.
