The devs were very clear when they removed the belts that they won't be re-adding them.

Did they say why? Bleh, well at least all the new equipment that comes out might not look so flawed...

Unfortunately no gear will hide that horrendously flat lower body shape, unless it's made to cover it completely.
Even then it'll need to appear larger on the character than whats really there.

If they won't even add something as small as belts then these lower body's may be deemed to remain flat/shapeless for eternity.

I figured, if enough of us wanted a change then they may consider an option to solve these issues.

I hope they can do something, but if they can't I guess stuff happens when you party naked.

They removed the belts because having to allow for all the different belt styles each class could wear was hampering their ability to create unique looking gear (think Acolyte/Foestriker gear for examples of such gear) that wouldn't have jarring clipping issues with the belts. It was a choice between displaying all belts and having truly interesting gear. iirc the AF in V1 overrode belts so they wouldn't be displayed also.

This is one example of how the dev team took a step back and made design decisions based on larger considerations that aren't as apparent to users. Perhaps contributers to this thread should consider that design decisions they don't like may be made to avoid problems we aren't aware of.

Why so patronising? They may or may not have made a design decision (I personally cannot see any difference, and the competing screenshot upthread showing the gap above the tail in the bliaud in V1 which you maintain is something new to V2 certainly indicates nothing was changed) that you do not personally agree with, a decision amongst hundreds of thousands of other decisions, and you call them lazy.

Hey they wanted to decide what belt should go where but loads of gear has no belts at all.
They had limited time to remake this game with a very small deadline, naturally mistakes happen when you need to rush something.
The game has plenty of room for improvements, and it will receive plenty of improvements over time.

For the record if you check my picture with the belt shown I highly doubt the belt is the only thing there filling in that space.

Look how small that belt is I was wearing.

They could at least put belts on equipment that doesn't have belts anymore, that would hide some of the overall problem.
A belt wouldn't be enough to change all that space but it sure would help.

Considering I'm almost never naked and therefore always have gear on I find this entire complaint pointless. I'd never notice it unless I was naked or wearing a bikini costume.
