FFXIV: A Realm Reborn has stopped working.

Adastraa, I can't really say which one did the trick, because I deleted the beta folder and the character data files at the same time, But I didn't play the beta with the character I had the problem with so I don't think the beta file had anything to do with it.

So, I think I might have fixed the problem (me and op are friends). It seemed to have allowed her to log in again, so I figured I'd share it on here for whoever is having problems.

Problem:
After selecting a character on the Character Select screen, the game will crash.

Solution: (note: I'm not sure which one of these was the fix, since we did both steps at once)
- Go into My Documents/My Games/.
- Delete any Final Fantasy XIV Beta folders.
- Go into My Documents/My Games/Final Fantasy XIV - A Realm Reborn.
- Delete all saved character data (this includes all FFXIV_CHARA_XX.dat files as well as the character folders FFXIV_CHR0040017A4D885C).

After that, try launching the game and hopefully it works.

Ok, So I finally found the folder that has the saved characters. I could not find the beta folder, but I deleted the characters regardless. Would deleting my characters server side help?

I tried this and it I'm still having the same issue and it is still only on my Archer, it let lets me log in and play my other character just fine

In my case, its telling me its stopped working when I try to log in, before even getting to the selection screen xD Just...put in password, press log on, crashes. It started doing this after the last launcher update the other day, and I've tried reinstalling and the like to no avail. It quite a headache

You tried the fix and its still not working?
MAybe when you uninstall you have to delete the entire folders.
