Keybinding Macros on PS3

Nope. You are right on. Looking around myself. The closet anybody can come is binding the gamepad buttons to the keyboard. However this isn't quite working well. Example: binding r2 and square as 1 and 2 on keyboard activates function on the xhotbar but also opens map since that is the default action for square. Obviously this isn't ideal. Hoping they fix this. Apparently this worked in beta phase 3 by default (as the online user manual on loadstone implies) but somehow changed in phase 4 and onto release.

This is exactly correct. It did work in phase 3 and was somehow changed in phase 4 and release to not working at all. I am with you on hoping they fix this soon. I am tired of having to click all of my spells, the controller is jut not great.
