Armoury System - a change for practical diversity.

    [dev1032]
I think they can keep the current system with some modifications.

Aside from class balancing, I think all classes could have their base job effectiveness reduced by 50% or so. The higher percentage of DoW or DoM skills you have equipped will increase your class affinity with the desired specialization.

This could even be broken up further. For example:

-ConjurerRobert likes to heal his friends. Of all his equipped skills, 70% of them are healing and defensive. This increases his innate healing ability by a large percent. ConjurerRobert is now WhiteMageBob. Yay!

-ConjurerHoward enjoys long walks on the beach and big flashy spells that tend to cook his enemies from the inside out. Naturally, he equips 90% offensive spells. Specializing in offensive spells increases his M. Acc, and M. Atk. BlackMageHowie is born.

Anyhow, the same could be done for skills that have an emphasis on attack, accuracy, defense, evasion, and whatever else people would find desirable or easy to implement. In this way people could equip their real job's skill for a more specialized, party build; or they could do the hybrid thing for soloing.

In most games, there's a trade off. Generally classes that do a lot of damage have less utility and vice versa. Personally, I think cross-classing abilities is too effective in its current state.

they already have things in place to take away from using other class abilities. for example a double cool down time for dow using dom spells. the ability to not use an aoe as a dow class. lowered effectiveness by using weaponskill abilities as a dom by doing less damage.

And I'm aware of that, as I play the game too. I still think their current system doesn't do enough to show a clear consequence to cross classing.

why should it the point of the current system is to allow class customizatoion via cross class skills. And it is pretty fun to do so. I play several classes using cross class skills like using hand to hand weapons and using red lotus blade and fire magic. I tend to kill things pretty quickly and it isn't to boring either.

I also thought a way to implement this would be adding a secondary bonus to equipping skills. If a skill is based on ACC, it'll grant ACC. If it more attack based it will provide ATK bonus.

Hawk's Eye: Your eyes gain hawk-like precision, increasing the accuracy of your next attack.
    Latent effect- Archer: +10 ACC

Maybe allow a different class to gain half the effect for equipping cross-class skills.

Like I said in the other thread really like this idea. Not sure on the secondary bonus though as that could really hamper your character. Stats are best left to gear I think (when stats work).

Guess thats just a difference of opinion. Seems to me alot of people are playing the same class. Wasn't that part of a poll?

"For Question 1, we decided to list up several points of concern the dev team and I had, and allow you to select multiple responses. It looks like the end result is that you feel all of them are significant issues. We'll do our best to address them all. In particular, the lack of class uniqueness seems to be prevalent in all regions."

You've played the game for how long? An hour?
the entire game doesnt play like 1-20 does

trying to switch between a nuking build and healing build on a mage is a chore at R50

I'm 99% sure her signature is a fake... since if you search Lodestone her character name doesn't even exist... so no... she doesn't understand that....
