Can't even post in general to tell that herpderp Gucci what an idiot they are and that they'd be singing a different tune had it been PC that got delayed fix instead of PS3
From my experience. For North American users, if you are trying to contact live chat the best time is 12pm EST to 3pm EST but they close at 9pm EST. EU players as well the first few hours it opens for you guys is the best time, they open at 1am PDT and close at 6pm PDT

Once you are queued it may go quickly... I was number 57 in queue and it took 1.4 hours.
If you get disconnected after you reach queue number 1 sadly you have to try again but like I said above, the best times are from 12pm to 3pm EST just from my experience of over 18 hours waiting for chat.
I had purchased a Skype subscription for $3 to call the USA number for square enix. Literally the minute the lines opened I could not even get through if my life depended on it, you guys can try that option of you like. But I don't recommend it... It's a lot tougher for Canadians to get through to phone support.
From my understanding PC users like myself get the issue fixed immediately when finally talking to a tech. If you are a PS3 user and manage to get to a tech, I believe they just escalate your ticket because SONY is the one who can fix your issue, and it's more difficult to resolve so you guys have to wait a bit longer. I suggest you try contacting Sony tech support and give it a shot, you won't wait for hours.
But everyone you MUST fill out a ticket on the square enix support website and make sure it's there. I filled out a few and some disappeared only 1 remained.
My problem got fixed today... I'm at work and I was queued in my chrome browser on my phone. I was watching it like a hawk. If you can queue while at work do it lol

This is the right form you need for our kind of problem. It's imperative that you OPEN a ticket or else they might not help you even with Chat. If you made a ticket on the 29th, cancel it and make a new one. They are ignoring tickets before that date. Usually it takes a day for them to answer with "We acknowledge your ticket blablabla"

Remove the X's with your ticket number. This will speed up the process when you get a hold of the Agent. THIS IS FOR NA, not EU.
These are the directions you have to take. I used Google Chrome and my brother got a hold of the Agent a few minutes ago. My account got fixed in a matter of seconds. I did NOT used phone at any moment to contact them. IT IS FASTER THO. If you can call them TRY IT. It's way better than Chat Queue.
My problem is fixed but I'll still hang in here trying to help people and do my best to spread the word.
I've tried both phone numbers and all I get are busy signals or a message saying the number is not in service. Though when I tried calling them at 859PST I got the SE auto-msg saying their business hrs. Currently in queue for live chat, hoping I dont get disconnected. 175.. says approx 1hr 6min to talk to agent.. its 350am here.. my wife isnt too happy im staying up late to try and contact these people.. but like everyone here.. I must keep trying.
I've been hoping in chat around 11:30am est and getting in around 1pm est. I just can't believe that a SQUARE-ENIX ID ACCOUNT issue can be affected by what platform you choose to play on. The only difference should be the length of the registration code, 20 for pc and 12 for ps3. How the hell is this so difficultFrom my experience. Status canceled for chat in Safari on OS X. Gonna make a new ticket for Chrome and see if that helps. Have them run concurrently.
Yes once you replace with your ticket number, things go WAY faster. Before doing that, I was sitting in Queue in position 300. Once I read you had to change I always got to position 50 or so.
