Why can't we have an AFK kick and a proper login queue....?? how hard is that?
Man even with all of this going on I'm just glad that SE didn't release the game until it was perfect like they stated in there press release. I'm really glad to see that they were able to iron everything out in the four beta phases that they had including the EA launch to smooth the final wrinkles before the world becomes exposed to there fully rebuilt and relaunched game.
I'm just glad that SE had been around long enough that they have a much firmer grasp on today's technology and are pushing the worlds bar in terms of intuitive technology for the masses. I mean the entire core concept of the company is "Technology" seeing as how they build video games and work with computer and network components on a daily basis...even more so because they're located in Japan which many would say is the technological hub of the planet.
SE has been running FFXI, another mmo for over a decade so obviously the company knows what they're doing.
If people are having issues currently logging in this morning, I fear for today's afternoon and evening. Students and Workers getting home will raging in front of their screen yikes!
I would LOVE to see these complainers be on the receiving end of the customer service counter.
Thanks for the info Starlord. Many people only come here to raise a stink instead of actually look up info. If they would take the time to investigate then they would at least have an understanding of whats going on. (won't stop some from raging though, some people arent happy unless they are upset...)

While not being able to get on the servers sucks, I would argue it's a damn good sign of how well the game is doing... I mean 7,500 per server - holy shit.
Honestly I find comments like this one to be more irritating than the actual issue, you're just being naive here.
People are not complaining over some crazy demand, yea, you could say it's just a game, get over it, do something else, but the thing is we paid for a service we're not getting and it's a pretty big deal. We can be understanding for one or two days, we can wait patiently once they give us a date with a promised fix, but after that comes a point where a customer deserves to get angry. And if I wanna go and yell at the customer service i can feel totally entitled to do so, since even their salaries are paid with the money i spent for the service i'm still not getting.
If I screw up at my work constantly for over a week noone is gonna be understanding, I just lose my job.
