Light strike does about the same damage as flurry (per hit that is) which is less than the damage per hit on heavy strike. It still does more damage than 50% of heavy strike, and reducing it down to a single hit makes what difference?
Also I still don't understand this whole thread. You are unaware of what attck you are using, unless the animation is completely different?

I think the game developers have more serious concerns at the moment other than 2 animations that may not matter in a few months being different. Remember, they plan to bring in auto attacks, so the light, heavy etc. may not even exist after they do.
