would love to do that one but have tried it and that is not really a fix as the files they are telling you to delete no longer exist after the error occurs.

Ah this was NOT the fix that I had tried ... am rerunning with the files linked on the first page, will edit this post and main post if it works

think i fixed the issue, had to deal with permissions on the folder and wouldnt let the patcher alter files in the folder...seems retarded

As for this one, if you look at the permissions it actually auto reverts to read-only upon closing the properties window

Facing the same issue too. I didn't have any problem when downloading the beta 4 client some weeks ago, then faced this for the first time during patching before early access, and now again.

This is even infuriating since I have a slow internet connection and SE is stubbornly using huge compressed file which can go up to 2GB before splitting them, instead of splitting them into smaller chunks to reduce the chances of facing errors. Not even going to talk about patcher not supporting download resume for a file being downloaded.
