I agree, I don't look forward to leveling jobs not my main in the slightest. Hunting logs give at most 2 levels per tier(the first tier two tiers giving almost 20, and the 3rd giving about 4 levels), so there's still 8 levels of fate grinding to do, dungeons will be hard to do since everyone will be doing fates and queues will be hours long, as well as giving 1/4 the experience of fate grinding, if not less. That leaves nothing but fates to do. I personally would like dungeon exp buffed by 50% or more, gil given out at the end of dungeons as well as seals, and traditional experience parties to come back.
Dungeons teach me how to play my class, they let me play my class, and they offer challenges. Experience parties on hard mobs teach me how to play my class, let me play my class, and offer slight challenges(needing to go faster and faster to keep chain for max exp/hour) and the ability to meet other players to run end game with. Fates don't provide an aiblity to meet new players to run end game with and make friends, don't let me play my class, offer no challenges, don't teach me how to play my class, and are just "Spam 1 button AOE/tab bio/aero/spam your ranged attack". You don't learn anything from fates and they are extremely boring in zergs. Even without zergs, a lot of the "boss" fates are just bigger beefed up normal mbos that do nothing special and can be solod/duod by tank/spank.
Name 2 that give at least 75% of the exp/hour that fates do.Agreed. There are a lot of options for leveling other classes beyond your first. If you're spamming FATEs as a way of leveling, that's your own fault.
Leves? 3 per 12 hours, don't even give as much exp as a single fate.
Dungeons? 50% or less exp than fate grinding per hour.
Guildhests? 1/10th the exp per hour of doing fates, also just as repetitive and boring.
Mob grinding? The worst exp/hour of all.
Hunting logs? As stated, at most, 2 levels per log tier, maybe more 1-20. That's still 6-8 levels per log tier(besides first two, and the 3rd giving about 4 levels) of fate grinding.
