Sub class leveling content

I finally reached 50 on my main and have been working on other classes now. I love that we can play so many classes on one character, but I don't have many quests. Guildhests are only worth doing your first time so that choice is not worth my time again. Dungeons give crap XP in comparison to FATES.

Are we simply supposed to be grinding FATES for the rest of our classes if we want to level up efficiently? I was grinding FATES so much just to reach 50 that now I have ZERO desire to run them for my other classes. Sadly, I feel I must to level efficiently. I hope we are going to get some new content very soon otherwise I can see a LOT of people leaving the game because they don't want to grind FATES for months on end. I feel like crap asking for new content already when the game hasn't even been out for very long, but this should have been thought of way before launch. I want this game to do well, but I know grinding FATES will wear out even the hardest FFXIV fans.

Don't forget about your Hunting Log as it gives a good chunk of experience. It's a breath of fresh air compared to chasing FATES with 100+ other people. Ask a higher level buddy to help tank the mobs that are higher level than you.

I can't stand FATE zerging, I'm looking at you Coerthas. I understand people want to level as fast as possible but my goodness it's boring chasing FATEs for even an hour. Keep in mind you've got Hunting Logs to do (as pointed out by nullzy), there's also map exploration if you haven't fully discovered them all yet, Leves (can give you gear too), dungeons are also nice for the chance of a bit of extra gear as well.

Just... please don't ask again for more content yet, most of us are still working on our first 50 and we are only 8 days into launch.

Agreed. There are a lot of options for leveling other classes beyond your first. If you're spamming FATEs as a way of leveling, that's your own fault.

fate xp needs to be nerfed hardcore. most boring xp ever introduced into a game, and far, far too good (there's no reason to do ANYTHING else).

Even with hunt logs and the limited leves you wouldn't get very far in leveling. People can say to do all these other options, but the fact is all of them will be doing FATES as well. It's just simply too good not to do for XP. I know it's sad to ask for more content a week into launch, but how did this not get noticed already. Another option would be to raise dungeon XP to be in line with FATES. I am aware that creating more content is way too much to ask (although the game needs it), but is fixing XP rates on other existing content too much?

well during alpha/beta, people were crying about how dungeons were giving out too much xp...they kept crying that the entire game was going to end up just being a dungeon runX100
