Yoshida: We’re planning on doing a major update every three months once the game has been released, and continuously adding large-scale content. Ongoing support for the game will be included in the monthly subscription.

If XI is any clue, major patches tend to take months and full expansions a year or two depending on how much content they add. Adoulin took years but then it did add a whole new continent with content that's not even fully deployed yet.

I think you missed the message, Adoulin took a couple years to develop. It wasn't a comment on how long it's been out, though I did add that one shouldn't expect all of an expansion's content to be released at once.

yoshi said that the 180 veteran reward would come in patch 2.1

180 days is 6months from now.

which i bet is a good estimate.
