I've been reading this thread for a few days now and I am surprised by the number of replies that SE is still dragging their feet. I was a FFXI player for 7 years and decided that I was done with MMOs when I quit, well that changed with me and my wife getting suckered into trying the beta. Now she has full access on her PC and I am locked out of my beta 4 character and we have no way to play together on the same server anymore. As if i wasn't frustrated enough with the log in issues I was locked out last Friday along with the rest of you and come to find out my physical copy preordered through Amazon was stuck in some warehouse and not due to deliver till the 5-6th. I went ahead and bought a copy locally and entered the code on the PS3 and then I was presented with the Service 1 or 2 option when I got onto the lobby server. I never recalled seeing any screen or notice asking me if I wanted to continue with setting up a new account. Meanwhile I am 243 in the queue and hoping to escalate my ticket # that I got when filling out the online form (Never saw a notice that I had to contact CS to escalate my issue, I figured my form request was notice enough). At any rate I sure hope to get this resolved and I imagine that my original CE from Amazon will arrive before my account gets resolved...... Hmm do I just eat the $39 and try to register the code from the CE.... I think not. Meanwhile I will keep playing my pacifier character on service 2 which is about to pass up my Beta 4 character. SE sure made a great game but fell flat on their face on the backend infrastructure and support. Best of luck to you all and maybe someday we can all forget what a colossal fvck up this has been.
2nd Time today sat in a 2 hour long chat queue only to be set to Status=Cancelled with no Agents to talk to me.
