With ffxi... I mean you had the bazaar system... but now in here there's no such thing and no reason to stay logged in when you're done playing.. other than to piss people off lol

Exactly, people need to grow up and be part of a community and help each other, not be selfish and look out for #1.
WTB afk implementation by SE immediately as adding servers/capacity is just a band aid and not an overall good solution.
Actually afk kick is more likely the band-aid. if there are 10k people trying to get on to a 5k slots. Even if 90% of the people were afk which isnt the case you would still hit the wall. Also I don't believe they are actually allowing the true server cap in becuase the login/df/lobby systems all seem to be linked and the double stress of login/df is causing them to crash. The fixes for duty finder should help the login as well as expanded capacity and new servers.
