    For melee I think Lancers and Warriors will be the best for PvP. The Lancers jump abilities will actually work good in PvP since they disappear from the screen, short stun cooldown, greatest burst dmg in the game, and insane damage buffs, they also where armorer gear. Warrior because they do nice damage and have a ton of HP. Also Lancer has one of the best debuffs in the game for PvP which is Slow.

    For Caster I think both healers will be great but probably the scholar more than the WHM because of the shields and they have a few more instant abilities. For damage I think the Summoner will shine since they have a pet and good instant abilities. Ruin with a blind, Energy drain and really nice pet damage buffs that can't be CC when combined. So if you want a solid PvP class go Lancer, Summoner, or any healer.

    To prove that my opinion is just off of abilities of the classes my main is actually a Monk and I think they will be the worse in PvP. I only see Monks being good if they get an instant 3 stack of GL or they stances last longer, I can see the class being really annoying to play in PvP.

    I agree with you about summoner we have alot of instant dmg that blind , reduce healing by half , bind target in place , slow movement by 40%,and spread to target next to it.... we also have range/melee dps pets that can be buffed by like 40%+ and designated area flares that dmg the whole area that a groups stand in(great for group pvp), and self healing
