that system is overkill for any game out right now and will continue to be for probably 2 years. total cost is like what? 15,000?the lowest fps i have seen in fates with 50+ people arround is 300 fps... The game is quite demanding....
Then again The system im playing on is overkill for the game..
dual Intel x5650 xenon processors
46 gb ddr 3 memory
quad evga titans
restitution 2560 x 1080
there is times where i have seen it tho tank into 1 fps seems to be something with the client normally a restart fixes it .

Maybe the game doesnt like ati cards or something.
I was running the game during beta on a 5850 with a core 2 duo E8400 and it ran beautifully.
Agreed, I have always installed only the base video driver, never had any use for CCC personally. Customize your AMD driver install and select only what is absolutely needed.
Its the Aetheryte... that thing will drop your fps a lot. I run a 660Ti over clocked 3GB. I get 100+ Frames. If I look at that crystal I drop to 20-30 FPS. If I look away, back up to 70+ in town.
ya it was 5100 for the 4 titans another 600 for the mb about 1200 for both 1800 watt power supplies list goes on.. Money wasn't the issue lol.. Needed the rig for more then just gameing.... Its good for 3d video rendering..

Try checking your CPU temprature (CPU not GPU). If its high you probably have to put again your thermic paste on the cpu.
The CPU is probably bottleneckig, or the cpu cooler is malfunctioning. Might be that, i hope it solves your problem.
Whoa I think that's it, just installed HWMonitor and looks like my cpu is running a lil too hot ... like 90-degrees yikes! Off to radio shack - man if that's the solution ur the bomb man, thanks!
Also, noob question here - what kind of maint do I need to do on my watercooler? Is there anything that needs to be done annually or anything?
Alot has been said already and I assume you might have already tried one of these but oh well.
- Set FF process as priority in task manager
- Unpark all CPU cores (you said not cpu limited but just gonna throw this out there)
- Check your graphics card (Take it out, back in, test again)
When did this happen, because you did level up alot. Did you play all those levels with 8 fps? What did you change in your setup, or were you playing on a different computer also?
Ah I see you already got an answer. But how does it get so hot in your rig since there is no OC and already almost reach the TJ Max. How is the temperature on your cards and the room you are in? Any cooler info?
It's a 3.2 o/c to 3.8, worked great in the past no problems so I'm hoping it's just old paste that I'm about to replace. It's a watercooled system, never really tinkered w/ it. Card temp is perfect, never over 50deg or so even o/c to 1100/1600. It's only in town it drops to 7-8fps, out an about it's 20-30, but still not that fun compared to playing other MMOs in the past. I have to say I haven't played a good MMO in a few months, mainly COD/BF3, but no fps probs there.
Anyway, about to pop the hood and get this new paste in there. Hope it works, will post an update.
