WoW and Aion never kept you from playing for over a week.
That is what we're mostly comparing the game to. I love this game, it's gorgeous, the gameplay changes and new perks are a huge plus. I can't wait to be able to play, but like i've been saying, I have never played in a launch or even family and friends alpha/closed beta that keeps you from playing for over a week because of technical difficulties. This game already launched and we still can't play.
It's really sad because this game had a 2nd opportunity to redeem itself which is VERY rare and they're digging that hole deeper with this terrible launch. I"m really hoping people can oversee this launch but people comparing it to WoW or Aion are being ridiculous. Those launches were nothing in par to this, we can't even log in and for those who can, I feel bad for your 0 key.
I hope people are patient like me, but lets be real, the patient are always outnumbered. I wish this company the best but people defending this launch can't say anything to change my thoughts on how terrible and self-destructive this launch has been handled by an obvious inexperienced and very green team.
I still love the game though and can't wait to play!
EDIT: I don't want a 100% working game because there's no such thing, every game has its flaws, but don't take what people say out of context, don't assume because they're complaining about not being able to log in for a week now is them seeking flawlessness. We're not, but logging in to a game is a basic thing. I don't care for lag, I don't care for que times, at least I have a pop up window telling me HEY YOU HAVE TO WAIT FOR 20239023489 HOURS. Even that wouldn't bother me because i'm being informed of it and I signed up for this game knowing there would be que windows. Or random disconnects, or huge lag spikes, all these things are ok, we're at launch but not being able to log in to experience the plethora of bugs that come with a new launch is COMPLETELY unacceptable after almost a week when the game has officially launched. I appreciate the compensation, but it's not enough to a lot of people.
