Pretty much what I was after, in terms of info. I too teleport all over the place, but rather than focusing on a gathering profession first like you seem to have, I went for the more traditional path. So far I can make about that same income rather easily by (and this baffles me) Buying logs direct from the market, and turning them into lumber. That's it. Quick synthesis 99, go make a cup of tea. Profit. I'm mostly just curious if theres better ways out there, I have no aversion whatsoever to sitting around chopping trees of hitting rocks all day, provided I know it's the most effective and efficient way to spend my time, considering how frankly, dull it is. Unlike other games were you can mentally go afk but physically remain pressing buttons to gather money plants, this one unfortunatly makes that's a tad harder.

Looking at some incredible overpriced market prices some people are still not getting the 2.0 gil scale.

I ended up with around 350k when I hit 50. Would've had 50k less if I hadn't sold a few minions from fates. Started working on two alts, two crafts, and one gathering profession a few hours later. I make most of my gil now from potions, food buffs, and gathering things needed for crafting quest items.

Additionally, the point of me creating this topic, and perhaps others can abate my fears, is that if I choose now to level another character (Based on average income, leveling speed, and gear progression) as there is no longer any quests to provide 'free gear' or real cash rewards, it'd actually turn into a negative experience financially speaking to level and gear a character, such as it is trying to gear up an existing with the current duty finder groups. I spend WAY more on repairs than I make from dungeons, mostly due to people blaming server lag, which can happen for us EU players.

Anyone else finding issues like these?

I think the more pressing question is, how do you go about getting gil once the story and side quests are exhausted?
Lvl 50 FATEs give ~100 gil. Lvl 50 Leves give about 500-600, but you can do, what, 6 per day?
So other than crafting and selling your goods, how are people at 50 making cash? In particular, how are people who only have a combat class at 50, making cash...

This is indeed a very good question, especially when you look at the achievement for what was it, 10,000,000 gil from levequests? something doesn't add up there with the current values.

I presume that fieldcraft/tradecraft leves will provide more at 50 than battlecraft (especially since HQ items give triple) which would potentially solve the problem, if someone who has one to 50 could verify?

I don't think you will make much gil from only combat unless you farm animals which drop mats needed for things. But, straight dungeon running? Not much to make there besides the little pieces that drop or selling minions, which have dropped considerably.
As for gearing alts, Ameretat; doing FATEs should give you enough seals to easily gear up alts with the stuff from your GC.

Why even consider making alts? The only reason to do this is if you dual-box 2 clients. Aside from that the only reason nowadays is for appearance reasons. There are plenty of ways to make money. First off, the main story provides about 250k over it's duration. Once you gain access to higher level dungeons like CC, AV and DH there are a lot of drops you can sell. Additionally you can farm things for retarded good money. For example, Snurble tufts sell for around 500g each and HQs can go for as high as 3k a pop. An hour of farming those, hippogryphs or a myriad of other mobs would net between 50k and 100k. It would take you 20 hours to earn similar leveling an "Alt"

That's a good point, well made. One that I did consider seeing as I have an immense surplus of seals and sitting on the rank cap, but I didn't really consider the grand scale of JUST how many fates I'll have to farm to level. I thank you for pointing out the oversight I appear to have performed.

It however, unfortunately, still doesn't help with the repair cost problem. I suppose only time/experience will fix that particular issue.
