Errors 2002 and 5006 Lobby Broken

"The lobby server connection has encountered an error."

Have gotten this error as 2002 and 5006 for almost an hour this morning. Has anyone else found a way to fix it? I'm going to try restarting my router and such, but I was playing last night and didn't have this problem, so I don't think that's it.

It's not your router... it's the SE servers being overloaded. Loads of people having this issue.

It's not you, I had been battling that all this morning as well and I've never had that issue previously. A few minutes ago I was finally able to click the start button, battled 1017 and now I can't even see the NA/Euro server list.

Yeah, I have been trying since 7am this morning and it is currently going on 11am. Every time I think it is going to stay on the load screen and log me in, it comes up with some stupid message about the server lobby and kicks me. Personally, these issues are the most frustrating because a vast majority of us can't even log in the game to enjoy the free play. This should most definitely continue to be extended until all these problems are resolved. It is just getting to the point where I am about to give up period, because I have limited time to play as well as the many others in the same situation, and when we have that window to play, we'd like to enjoy it.

They are working on the servers, so maybe they had to shut them down to work on them. Remember, this is a gigantic computer program that has hundreds of thousands of people all connecting to the same computers to use at once. There are going to be issues. Just be patient. I just tried to login in and the Start option wasn't even selectable, so that tells me that SE is working on fixing the problem.

Or, you know, they're not working on the problem - because that IS the problem. All they've done is tell us to be patient so far. Little to no real updates have been given on where the process is. Now, they've killed character creation on every single server and not just select servers. The only way I've been able to play is to make new characters and try stuff out in different areas and I can't even do that now. Forget logging in to the same character more than once or getting on the same server as friends. That is apparently too much to ask for.

I cant seem to get passed the "Start menu" it keeps showing up grayed out..I was hoping to get on early so I wouldn't have to run into this problem..

Yeah, this is the worse it has been. It has been going from the start button not being accessible, to server lobby error, to the NA/EU server lists not populating all morning, Today is looking very grim if you're looking to get a little play time in. But like I stated earlier, personally once this stuff is fixed, they'd better extend the free play period for like maybe just one extra month for all those who couldn't play a lot while all this stuff was going on. It'd only be fair. I for one, am very disappointed in how they've been managing issues. I think they could at least restart servers a few times a day so that way there is a slight chance people might get in.
