I have 8 crafts at 50. All I did was watch T.V. and spam standard for easy mode synths. Enjoy leveling those crafts in 1.19 and beyond everyone!

I agree surplus sucks but its clear you're finding the game boring today because you're all over the forum...take a damn break and chill out.
I dont wanna quit but thanks for offering a suggestion. Also my post count is lower than yours I have been posting here longer than you and ive only posted in 3 threads recently you are the only one cursing and getting fussy. So maybe you should chill out.

I agree do away with surplus. It just deters the players.
they should remove surplus system and give player bonus xp when they are logged out.

I don't find surplus SP really much of a problem. I have a few jobs at 50 and it has never hindered me.
In the case of battle classes, I think it is too easy to get to R50. Doing leves with full links, we get almost 100K SP every reset. When surplus gets too high, we just switch to another job and do leves on them.

Wow guys. This is kind of sad. Besides the fact that it is slowing your main class's growth, whats wrong with it? Do you understand why it's in place? It's supposed to make you level multiple jobs to increase your characters skill pool as apposed to physical strength on your main. For instance you might have a Marauder at 40 but he would be so much better with skills like: Second Wind, Cure/ Sacrifice II, Provoke, Feather Foot, Taunt, ect.
And for those of you who jump into fatigue right after getting out, their is a trick. LEVEL SOMETHING ELSE! The more SP you get on one class the more your Fatigue decreases on your other classes (plus time away of course.)
Its a brilliant system, you just have to see what its pushing you to do and do it.
Well SE's actual thought process was hey lets make people take 3-4months to level through a fatigue system so we can leech more money from them, but it failed due to the hatred on the game :P.
I'm wholly tired of hearing the community go back and forth about the Fatigue system. If you're not hitting surplus or fatigue, then you're LUCKY. Not playing a small amount of time...you're LUCKY. The entire system is completely bugged or broken as I know people who play constantly, never taking a break and are never fatigued, or it takes them a long time. I couldn't get my Archer from 24 to 25 before I hit fatigue again after the weeks reset. NO WAY does this system work nor should it be used. Maybe the first few hours of gameplay for the week should get a bonus to XP and that can drivel away to a normal rate. No way in hell should this system even exist. It's broken, it doesn't work and I'm tired of hearing explanations about how it works and how it doesn't effect you. I work 60+ hours a week and I have 5 job classes and my physical level fatigued in three days. It does NOT even wear off for me 'over time' like all these mouth-diarrhea Square-loving hippies keep blowing their load about.
I'll say it again. It's broken. It's worthless. It's stupid. It's bugged. It's gotta go. For all those quitting the game over this; more power to you. The sooner Square gets this crap sorted out the sooner they can make some money.
A quick patch getting rid of the fatigue system would be the smartest thing to do. Don't set on it until you make a big release! And don't keep shutting the servers down for hours on end to add some stupid garbage like the Party Size graphic! We don't need epilepsy-inducing flashing crap when a simple chat log message does the trick!

People aren't achieving 400+ ranks because surplus doesn't work... they are achieving those ranks because all this game has as a means of real progression is leveling. (and it's been that way for 7 months and running)
Because party SP is so broken (especially for a certain number of leves people like to do every reset), people can hit surplus in no time. So, rather than doing behests for maybe two or three days and then hitting surplus, you can hit it way before reset (and thus giving you more time to farm raptors into glory land).
Surplus was a decent idea in the beginning (contrary to what I first thought mind you), in that it (1) can keep people near a similar ranks, (2) gates people from getting into content too fast, and (3) rewards the more dedicated players in a way that works with this game's class system (by giving them "more abilities" rather than "max rank"). Unfortunately, party SP blows surplus out of the water, not to mention that the current content in this game that is supposed to be challenging just simply does not constitute using a full range of one's abilities

just wanted to give my +1 on REMOVING the surplus system. and uh, do not lower exp gains to counter it pls ^^
