Oh true I forgot about reduced healing potency. My bad. Then this is actually a bug. Why would SE give cleric stance to scholar in the first place.

But I have been using cleric stance with scholar healing at the level 37 dungeon with no problems. I can see an increase in healing with it. Without it my heals just suck.

I will have to check later at home today.

Because Ruin, Ruin II, Bio, Bio II, Miasma, Miasma II, Energy Drain, Shadow Flare, Aero, and Thunder all use Intelligence?

Cleric Stance on Conjurer and Scholar is to be used in conjecture with the Classes nukes. Both have high Mind, switching that to Intelligence and giving a damage bonus on top of that is ideal for such spells, though it makes Intelligence a completely worthless stat on both Classes (not so much an issue for Conjurer, but Scholar is unfortunately lumped with Arcanist/Summoner).

There seems to be some misconceptions about cleric stance for scholars. And int/mnd as well.

While cleric stance does indeed reduce your own healing output, it does not affect your fairy. At all. For trash I honestly stay mostly in cleric stance and nuke away and let my fairy do most of the work.

As for int/mnd, mnd sure does seem to be the stat we should go for. But I wonder.. has anyone noticed the HUGE MND buff we get from simply equipping scholar? Where the hell does that come from? Switching from SMN to SCH gives me like 70 more MND. Is this related to the points I've put in INT? Somehow? Has anyone tested this?

Jobs have their own stats growth based on your level, which is a reason why you generally want to go say Black Mage over staying THM even though BLM spells aren't quite that good, but you lose like a large chunk of int in the process. That's just how it is, it's especially noticeable on ACN because you swap from high int to high mind. But if you go ACN > SMN, you'll see you get an int bump too.
