It's nearly 2 AM in the eastern States on a Monday morning, with school having just-recently started. There's no friggin way an NA server would be full to capacity at this time, yet I'm still getting the 1017 error. I'm calling BS.
Also, why the FUCK do you have to have a character a certain level to post a thread on the forums? My main is lvl 24...how much higher does it need to be? Or are the forums just as broken as the login queue?

Also, the level to post system is dumb as rocks.
show some integrity and just log off, your logic in not logging off because you waited hours to get in is a good example of your morals, the very fact that you know how long it took to get in should be reason enough to have some compassion for those who are still waiting just as you did. P.S some of us havent even got to play since P4 and are still waiting to have our game registered as purchased
an FC can have 500 members, so no, we dont need anyone but our FCSo you're telling me that none of you will ever use the market wards or duty finder? Considering you all apparently need to be on at the same time to function properly, I can't imagine you're powerful enough to take down higher tier fates on your own, so you'll be needing outsiders for that too.
Then why do you need everyone on at the same time not actually doing anything?
Do you actually have 500 members who don't use the duty finder or market wards?
New server structure goes up on Wednesday. I think you can do a little service to the rest of your Excalibur citizens and sacrifice a few days of hogging space. Who knows, it might actually benefit you in the end.
If not, well, I'm sorry to say but acting like a selfish jerk will only get you treated like a selfish jerk. If that's something you're really fine with, you have no need to justify yourself here.

i used to get in 1-2 days ago at certain times easy, later afternoon/evening i never could. But due to the server problems and the restricitons i think by now we have so many AFKers not logging off ever that i cannot find any time to log in anymore. My PC consumes a shit load of power and the prices here are insane. I don't wanna pay a few € every night to be logged in that is just crazy.
Im pretty sure that with a kick after too long afk-fix the problems woudl be gone by now. Instead they get worse and worse. SE really has no clue how to solve problems fast. This afk-kick timer should have been implementent already in a hotfix while working on expanding the servers.
Oh yeah! Idle bans! What a great way to alienate your player base because of a mistake YOU made! Wonderful idea!Need to make an idle ban timer and see how fast that clears things up.
Dear Customer,
Due to known server issues many players are having trouble accessing the game.
We have noticed your inability to act as an "active" part of our community. This displays a lack of respect to your fellow players.
Please take these next 24 hours to think about what you can do to become a more "active" part of Final Fantasy XIV.
Please don't worry, the server space you were occupying will be given to an "active" member of our community.
We look forward to seeing you back in game.
