The guy pretty much admitted in so many words he was a selfish prick, then tried to justify it with tripe about "growing up". Because if we all don't grow up to treat others like dirt for the sake of getting what we want, we're doing it wrong. I wish I was weak-minded enough to buy that BS. The world would be so much simpler. lol

you're still jumping to conclusions about people with little hard evidence, though. all i'm saying is that there are various shades of morality, not just black and white. you could have someone who doesn't want to log off during this situation, which seems to be a big deal to you -- but then he could also be a pretty great guy overall. you just can't judge somebody on something so silly of an issue like this, where there really is no right or wrong. there are no lives on the line, nobody's well being is at stake. it is, at it's core, people wanting to play a computer game.

it's not the afk player's fault this whole situation arised -- it's SE's due to being unprepared. i'm just baffled that these meaningless discussions even rise up, as if people just need to antagonize each other until their problems are fixed and they're occupied with something else.

anyway -- i'm done here. internet arguments aren't usually my thing, as people do never see eye to eye here. but with how ridiculous this whole situation has gotten i felt i had to say something. in a month's time this whole situation will be an obscure memory for everyone involved.
