What’s the Summoner playstyle? How to use skill at best DPS.

Hello. I'm summoner.
I think this class has less damage.
I try use every skill to monsters but can't deal high DPS.
I can deal DPS like a White Mage.What should I do?
I want to help my party as best as I can.

DoTs. Lots and lots of DoTs. I even brought Aero from Conjurer and Thunder from my Thaum over to help with DoTs.

I guess it makes sense, Ruin is such a crap spell, every DoT should be better than our filler-spell.

you actually dont need the other dots the moment you get Fester. with level 38 you get ruin 2, which is in instant cast with a blind effect. so your rotation can be apply all 3 dots use aetherflow fester, ruin 2, fester, tridisaster and repeat. the dmg goes up level 38 onward

Because summoner deals the lowest dps compared to the other dps classes.

I like to add the PUG ability that increases crit and LNC blood for blood. Usually, I pop them before I use energy drain.

Do you guys think Thunder becomes obsolete pre-Fester? I've been questioning it since it only lasts 18 seconds. However, I think it might still be better than casting Ruin 1... any thoughts?

Depends on the situation. Bane won't spread Thunder and Fester won't get increased by it. For AoE purposes, I tend not to use Lightning because it is a waste of time since Bane won't spread it. I still use it on bosses though.

You'll still use Thunder.....

You set up Bio II, Bio, Miasma, then what? Spam your crappy ruin in between Fester cd's? Thunder still has higher output than casting another ruin, so you throw it in.

The only part where Thunder may be an issue is in a prolonged fight where you have mana concerns, as Thunder is much more costly MP wise than your own DoT's.
