FFXIV asking me to pay a new subscription after 24hours

Did your copy have the 18 digit code to redeem then you got emailed the 12 digit? Mine never came with an initial 12 digit. I feel like a noob. Depressing. Ff is making me dumb.

I used the early access codes to get in initially, after launch I used the 12 digit code that was in my physical copy of the game and all was good.

Now I really can't decide what I've done wrong. I've redeemed my early access, then bought a hard copy and redeemed 12 digit code with that. I got access to the game for 1 day before it told me I need to subscribe. Maybe I'll just have to pay again (even though it still says I have 8 days)
