They've done some pretty evil things. They try to make us fight against the primals so that they don't have to, for one. They are sinking our ferries, for two. lol.

I don't think they're 'good guys'. Their intentions are just not what you might have thought firsthand.

Thats what I think, the Garleans may turn out to be the lesser of the two evils. Someone explained it better than I can by saying, it could be an enemy of my enemy situation we have going on.

We don't know what they are after, to me it looks like they are trying to prevent something, possibly the start of the 7th Umbral Era which the Primals may well cause.

All we know is that Garlean activity is rising rapidly and it seems like they are gearing for an attack, but are the Garleans responsible for the weather and all the other strange things happening. I wouldn't have thought so, something else is afoot here as well.
