    Any talk of compensation by chance?

    I'm not a hater, i'm not ungrateful, and I love FFXIV supported it from the announcement of 1.0 to today. But I do have a budget. And I do lead a very busy real life with work, school, outdoor activities, etc. It's nice to take some time on the weekends to enjoy FFXIV, but I seem to be very unlucky with the errors, the unable to load lists and the CTD's. Often when I get 1017 errors or the like, I try a few more times and then move on to something else.

    I'm curious if SE has announced any sort of compensation for players who purchased the game, as in additional free time or the sort so we can actually use our allotted time playing, versus trying to log on.

    I bought the PC download via Amazon, but I still only have the free trial period of 10 days or so. Haven't applied the Amazon code for 30 free days or is that even an option for those who purchased the game?

    P.S.: I have to admit, the thought of leaving FFXIV for a short time until I can actually get on without issues has popped into my head a few times and while I lean on staying right now, I'm keeping the door open. What I mean is just letting the free trial expire then coming back when things calm down and other folks go back to WOW, etc (no offense, lol). I feel like i'm draining money into a game I can't really play.

    The producer (Yoshi) made an announcement yesterday that they are considering giving everyone an extra 7 days, since they believe they will have the problem fixed on Wednesday with new servers and updates.

    They are considering giving us 7 free days, but I don't feel that's adequate. It should at least be two weeks of free time, and maybe even as much as a month as a goodwill gesture. I think that would salve a lot of the anger and resentment, and stop those people who are considering canceling their preorders from doing so.

    They gave everyone 3 free days already from Tuesday until Friday to register their game, Then they gave people 7 free days from Friday to Friday and they will have the issues cut down if not fixed on Wednesday? They have given more then enough FREE time. Some people just are not happy with anything.

    Turns out I simply missed that post. Wasn't looking for drama, just a simple answer. Granted that's impossible on the FFXIV forums.
