healers dont get anything for healing in fate is one problem
QFT
This is the reason why healing is not a priority.
I try to heal from time to time, but my main priority is healing my party and second priority is to deal damage so I can get points/exp.
Ive tried being a heal-bot but I got close to no reward for it in the end.

I can't stand FATE so I usually just walk right by lol, sorry. Complain to the devs and not other players if you want healing. I will say we need some NM's and HNM's that are not in FATE because it would be nice to actually get something besides gil, exp, and grand company seals. So far all I see is the same exact ppl that wanted all this awesome stuff in the game complain about that very thing they were telling us was going to be so great. Truth is they might want to add some stuff that isn't 100% casual.
Healers need to create healing macros that use "target of target". More info found here.
If it's a single target boss FATE this should be easy, just target the boss and keep executing the Heal macro with "target of target" (aka likely the tank).
Example Macro:
/ac "Cure II" <tt>
If it's a FATE with tons of enemies things will get a bit harder as there may be multiple tanks, but if someone is tanking really awesome and truly has all the aggro then it should be as easy as targeting any mob hitting them and using the macro.
This method allows casters to target a mob and attack it, while healing the tank without having to change targets... so it's better than nothing.
Of course, behavioral changes probably need to be made for healers that are just focused on the wrong thing... but having the tools to do the right thing, and fairly easy, is a good start. So, I hope my suggestion helps.

You should form a party and invite them then because they don't get exp from healing you, they only get exp if they do damage.
I heal fates, but it doesn't give me full credit. So I simply DPS in fates so I can get full credit.
I usually tank FATE bosses, but I always make sure to party with a healer. That being said, there is one thing I noticed, is that in bigger FATE bosses, there usually will spawn additional enemies, which more often than not will start to chase after the healers, especially if those healers are kind enough to heal random participants as well. Unfortunately, all the other off-tank / dps people doesn't seem to care that the healer is being pummeled and kept hitting on the main boss instead. That's also when I noticed that my HP is not filling as it were, since the healer too, is trying very hard not to die.
So, if you do a boss FATE and you're NOT tanking, look at yourself before blaming the healers if the main tank dies.
Reading the thread, apparently you're right.I've done that but it has held very little positive response from those who are/can heal. It makes me wonder if they are unaware as to whether or not they get rewarded for healing as they would for dealing damage which makes me want to /facepalm a little less than to think all their focus is on the boss and their hotbar.

Have you seen the fuckton of people participating in a fate? 995 of the time, hp bars don't show up. If i'm able I toss a heal here and there, but bodies are near impossible to see when there are 90+ people in the same little area. Afterwards raising is fine cuz everyone is leaving, but during it's like WHERE IS EVERYBODY?
If getting worthwhile fate bonuses for healing existed.
